If the font for "New York" were a little smaller they could use those letters to give the J a "tail" like in days of old. As it is, the logo doesn't suggest a jet and the wording looks generic. This probably means they'll be overdoing it on the jet-themed uniform accents to compensate (these probably being what Mr. Skrine considers "flashy"). That said, I like the shade of green much better than the one they've been wearing. It isn't dull and it is light enough to contrast with the black accents.
