Ridleylash
Another reason I think it passes now is just how badly owners are taking a beating because of the pandemic. A LOT of NHL owners have stakes in industries that are getting absolutely obliterated; stuff like casinos, hotels, catering and the like. Getting any kind of additional money is going to be attractive to owners getting battered by the pandemic, no matter how small that is (especially to owners as notoriously miserly as Jacobs). Seattle's fee would help once it's all payed off, but even a small amount more is a small amount more that would be considered valuable.

I don't think the manufacturers put the logos/wordmarks there for aesthetics. This is a dumb take. Almost every apparel manufacturer has their logo somewhere on their product. That's not the same thing. EDIT: Also, the NHL has, AFAIK, never had the manufacturer logo on the front of the jersey. It’s always been below the collar on the back or on the hem. Nike puts theirs on the front but Nike jerseys are only widely-seen every four years at the Olympics. Bayne
"You will get used to it" ...yes we will, because that's human nature and we all have to accept it when it happens. nash61
Did this get lost in the helmet-ad kerfuffle, or did I just miss it? Fan-made? Knock-off? Legit? Almost definitely either a crudely-made fan jersey or a knockoff. The Blues already have four jerseys, five if the blue 90's alt comes back for another season, they wouldn't be adding more. When the Winter Classic vs the Wild happens, that would probably be a 6th jersey, which is a lot of jerseys in a short amount of time...
