THIS I would accept even though I love and prefer the all-teal look. 

 

As for the pants, the black pants should have white-teal-white striping(like the '91 set) and the teal pants have white-black-white striping.

 

Neverthekess, just make the font on the whites teal with a black outline, have the dorsal fin in the same direction on both shoulders and use the original hockey stick and triangle for the logo.

Much better! Is this a pre-season thing, along with the weird font for the names or have they finally decided to come to their senses and put the captain letters back where they belong, on the left side of the chest?

Either way, it's probably just to make room for a disgraceful sponsor patch on the other side. For shame

That's exactly what it is. (For now) They are only allowed to have an ad in the upper right chest. They may not have an ad sponsor right now, but this move is for sure so they can add one in the future.

Not necessarily. The Rangers & Blue Jackets wear red pants & blue helmets with their home jerseys. Vegas wears black pants & grey helmets with their grey jerseys.

Either on the shoulder patch or the upper arm.

 

If teams fill those spots with ads too, then there won't be much room left.

...but I still think that the teal breezers with the home set is just too much. The black pants gives the the teal equipment a base *pop*  off of in a way that the mono-teal look washes out; plus, it would allow them to keep the striping consistent throughout entire uniform by using a white/teal/white stripe on black.

The teal pants look FANTASTIC with the road jersey. And I kind of like the black pants with the home set, too. That being said, the all teal looks great.

Incorrect, the Leafs were once a green and white team.  A more appropriate colour for a Maple Leaf.  In the early 2000s they were a blue white and silver team.

Were they really a blue, white and silver team when the only place they ever used silver was the secondary logo?  That's kind of like saying Columbus is red/white/blue/silver when they only ever use silver in their logos, or that Tampa is still blue/white/black because they have a tiny smidge of black in their number kit.

While it doesn't really change your larger point, they did also use silver trim on the numbers on their home and road jerseys from 2000-07.

Dominick's was better than what Kroger turned Mariano's into. I went to get red pepper flakes and the entire section of Badia products is gone and replaced with Old El Paso taco bowls. Another shelf just has, like, Hot Wheels cars on it. Disgusting.
