I think we can officially agree that Northwestern vs Illinois at Wrigley was a bad idea.

From an ESPN radio Chicago twitter feed.

CRAZY! Confirmed by Illinois' SID Kent Brown that the Big 10 will announce that they will only use the west endzone tomorrow.
Set up on east side (RF) endzone deemed dangerous. Ball will always be respotted and offenses move east to west.

Wait- so if you score a TD on defense, you have to hike to the other goal for the PAT, then jaunt back across the field to kickoff? Confusing!?!

Can switching to Geico really save you 15% or more on car insurance?

Is playing a college football game at Wrigley Field a bad idea?

Geico. Fifteen minutes could save you 15% or more.

It's like that style of football we played as kids....losers walk!

Come on down and get yourselves another beating.

Yankee Stadium is hosting a game too and it will host more.

However, this will be the last football game Wrigley Field ever sees, with all the logistical problems. However, if this game was in Evanston would anyone care? Would Game Day be there? I for one can't wait to see the game and see how the one endzone effects the game, it will be an interesting day to say the least.

Kellen Moore coming out for the draft this year?

He shouldn't. He really doesn't rate as much of a pro prospect -- he'll go in the late rounds. Great college QB... but I don't see it translating to the NFL. He reminds me of Ken Dorsey.

I thought everyone was afraid to play Boise.

Careful what you wish for homer. Georgia by 14...at least.

It's not so much they're afraid to play Boise -- they just don't want to play AT Boise and won't commit to any sort of home-and-home arrangement.

September 2010: "Virginia Tech by 14... at least."

September 2009: "Oregon by 14... at least."

September 2008: "Oregon by 14... at least."

Fiesta Bowl 2006: "Oklahoma by 14... at least."

October 2001: "Fresno State by 14... at least."

I'm just sayin'.

September 2005: "Georgia by 35".

I'm just sayin'.

So 0-10 Akron had the ball on the Miami fifteen with about 1:40 to play and down 5. They fumbled and lost the game. Sucks because had Akron pulled off the upset then OU would've clinched the MAC East. Miami still has to play Temple and OU has a game against Kent State left. An OU win and they're in the championship game. A Miami win with an OU loss and Miami goes to the Championship game. The winner of the East will probably play Northern Illinois.

I'm trying to be at this game Tuesday (my Miami student ID still gets me into Yager B) ) so here's hoping for that. Even if the Redhawks don't go to the MAC Championship game this year, what a freakin' turnaround from last year eh? Great football looks to be heading back to Oxford. At least until a larger school notices Mike Haywood...

No, not a chance. It's two middle of the road Big Ten teams playing. Unless Illinois has a really good football team, there's a lot of people that don't care. And most people don't care about NU football at all. It's two good teams (even that's debateable after we lost to Minnesota last week) playing a "rivalry" game where the winner gets a trophy of Abe Lincoln's hat.

That being said, Go Illini! Get your bowl eligibility today.
