I really dislike paneled caps, like the Orioles home cap. I've never really liked any of them, be it the Orioles, Blue Jays, Padres, Expos, whomever. It just kind of has an amateur or little-league look to it. In every case, I feel the teams' solid caps always look better.

I agree... usually. I did buy a white-paneled New Hampshire Primaries cap last year.

I really, really like the Orioles home white paneled caps. But all the other teams that have tried, failed. And should be just for the O's, no one else.

A Jays white paneled home with the current logo would look fantastic.

I don't think the Vancouver Canucks have ever had a great logo in their history. The current orca logo is alright, but does nothing to represent Canucks (I honestly thought a Canuck was a type of whale until I finally looked up what the word means). The flying skate was way too wacky and colorful (red, yellow, orange, and black is a bit excessive for a color scheme). The stick-in-rink logo is boring as hell (don't try to convince me that it's classic, it doesn't represent a Canuck either). Johnny Canuck is alright, because it at least does its job of representing the team name, but I don't think it could work full time on an NHL jersey.

I think it may be time for Vancouver's NHL franchise to rebrand itself (maybe they could resurrect the Millionaires name and logo).

The Canucks have never had an iconic logo, I'll give you that. Though that's more because they've never stuck with a logo.

Aside from that, their identity is great. Best colours in the league, classic but distinct striping and the name is great (it's been around as Vancouver's hockey team name since the 40s, fans would not take kindly to a nickname change). Changing all of that would not help the identity crisis, but only exacerbate it.

The millionaires identity is bland enough, changing to that would be a significant downgrade.

There's no reason for the Canucks to rebrand, they just need to change the logo.

Their 40th Anniversary Jersey would make a great road jersey.

Agreed. They would just need to put the modemized SIR on it.

I see you working, & for me the O still feels a bit off balance from the rest of the jersey design. It was a fan concept yes? I guess that's as polished as we can get from that.

I dunno, I've just never seen a logo'd O with anything Ottawa, esp without a maple leaf. What I do see is Oregon Ducks playing old timey hockey.

I'm the opposite.. I always felt like panels made it look a bit more professional, like any team can go buy stock solid caps and slap a letter/logo on it, but a custom cap with differentiating panel/bill seemed more custom/expensive/professional to me..

I LOVE the Orioles' paneled cap (albeit as an O's fan myself), but I also like the old Jays' white panel caps and one of my all time favorites is the Padres' brown with yellow panel caps

Because khaki is a boring color for a sports uniform.

It also helps that everything else about those uniforms is far superior to what they currently wear.

The old color was much richer and more distinctive. But I really liked the helmet shade of gold from the Super Bowl year. Nike changed it to better match their new shade of beige for the pants and numbers. The problem with the Super Bowl set was that the helmet gold was different from the pants gold, the numbers gold and the collar gold (which were all different themselves).

They can go with either the SB gold or the classic one. As long as they use metallic pants, match the gold on the entire set and have the pants stripes match the helmet, they'll look great. Until then, they'll continue to look like a bland mess.

I guess its a matter of color consistancy. If they used the shiny gold color from the top photo and matched the sheen on the numbers and pants, it would look best. Both look bad when the pants color is flat.

I'm not sure I'd go as far as to say it's the best, but it deserves to be in the conversation. And I can't emphasize enough how much better it looks compared to the alternate hat with the white outline around the logo

I like the oilers pre edge jerseys the best, including the meteor alternate.

I think some NHL teams should incorporate brown into their uniforms more often (gloves, pants, helmets)

As a fan of traditional jerseys, I thought these were actually pretty cool - as an alternate jersey. Something completely outside-the-box that's worn sparingly. What makes it super-awesome is the five rivets on the gear, symbolizing the Oilers' five Stanley Cup championships. Nicely done.

Those jerseys were what third jerseys were supposed to be. Completely different takes on a teams identity that utilized new concepts/colors/logos.

I was definitely a fan when they came out with those.

only pirates hat i will ever own, because that is the only hat needed.

This could be very unpopular-I hate how people use gold/yellow interchangably. For example the Packers, Steelers, Penguins, Lakers, Pirates, A's, among other teams wear yellow, not gold. Notre Dame, the Naval Academy, West Point, the Saints, Georgia Tech, Purdue, Pitt, Vanderbilt, and others wear gold.

I always loved that uniform too, from head to toe. It's the Orioles look I grew up with. I do love the cartoon bird (I'm a sucker for cartoon/mascot logos), so I'm not upset at all that it's back, but I loved the realistic bird and that particular uniform set just as much.

I love their current look, and biasedly think it's one of, if not the best in baseball, but it's a shame that the ornithologically correct bird is (mainly) associated with the worst period of Orioles' baseball. (I said mainly because there were some good teams in the '90s, but 14-consecutive losing seasons is enough to tarnish those few good years)
