Nationals wearing their home red helmets on the road in Miami. No idea why, maybe the helmets got lost along the way to Miami. They appear to still be wearing the normal road hat but they haven't taken the field yet on D.

I don't know why they don't just go with the red full time, it would.match the roads much better seeing as they haven't had navy text and numbers in a few years.

Same reason that the Braves insist on ruining their gorgeous road uniforms with the solid-navy caps; they presume it'll boost merchandising.

As far as being weekend alternates go, those Braves cream uniforms look spectacular.

I'm guessing it's the daylight effect, if nothing else.

Those uniforms are spectacular. They may be a bit superfluous, (the third alternate for the Braves) but they look great because of a great script, cap, and use of colors. If the Braves dropped their colored alternates and returned the red brim to the road cap, their set would be pretty much perfect.

The D-backs road gray tops are noticeably darker than their pants. It looks really bad. Is it the coolbase, do any other teams have this problem?

I never understood why teams would have coolbase jerseys yet still wear the doubleknit style pants. The pants are by far the worst part about playing baseball on a hot day.

Man, those duds are gorgeous!!! I never thought the Braves would look so good without the tomahawk...

ATL: Please burn those terrible red alts and wear these beauties at will...

The Phillies need to blow it up and start all over, both uniform-wise and the players who wear them.

the worst helmets design to me is the Jacksonville jaguars hamlets from 1995 to 2012 because you can't see the logo vary wall

i agree. i loved the cream alt when it 1st came out but not so much anymore. i just wonder what they should do, pull from the past or try something brand new

Because the pants would last about 2 games in the COOLBASE material. The material isn't THAT sturdy, and the pants would rip for sure after sliding into a base.

Majestic makes one shade of COOLBASE Grey, and the pants they provide everyone is still in their old individual shades of grey, thus the mismatches. Some teams look worse than others (like Arizona, and Philly), but I think Houston's road uniform is one of the closest you'll get to actually matching top & bottom.

Go Astros!

Go Texans!

Go Rockets!

Go Javelinas!

I figured as much, as the coolbase material is pretty cheap, but it's still a flaw that is really counterproductive to the whole point.

Plus when it absorbs sweat, it's really noticeable

Go A's!

Care to elaborate on the first part? I don't disagree, but what would you propose?

I don't have a problem with the Phillies home uniforms, but the roadies have looked dated for about a decade.

The script could use an update as well. I've never liked how it sits flat (or that it's basically a big patch), and think that arching the text would go a long way to making it look better.

I'd like to see the Phillies use this top script...

...and go all-maroon, with powder blue used at an absolute minimum (such as making the stars that dot the "i"s powder blue).

Nobody cares about your humungous-big signature.
