They totally overhauled their uniforms (to their current set - minus the black alternate) DURING the season, and they wore them over the final weeks. The '92 Angels, '03 Blue Jays, and '90 White Sox released theirs well before the Series started, so that was cool. MLB doesn't want anything to take attention off of the Series, especially after A-Rod's brilliant announcement that he was opting out of his contract a few years ago. This is the first time since the beginning of 07 that they have emphasized the purple.To be honest, I haven't watched many of their games at all. I guess I should have clarified my comment a bit more. I meant they should emphasize the purple in the primary jerseys as opposed to alt jerseys. The more I think about it, the more I realize that I may just not like the font they are using and the overall jersey design. I don't think it's bad, per se, but I just think their overall look could be a lot better if the font was changed to something else. I just don't like the "CR," no matter how many times I see it.
