DG_ThenNowForever
I'm fed up with the Eric Dickerson-ization of the NFL:(Is this one of those times where I've made an observation made hundreds of pages upthread?) 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
AcmePacker
First look (that I've seen at least) of the Saints' gold pants. This is a nola.com gallery titled "Sunday Night Football Photo Shoot" (assume it's the HOF game). Dear God, can it be? The golds appear to match! (Well, better than they have in the past.) Included some closeups of the jerseys too. Still hate the collars. Shoulder numbers look bigger and the swoosh placement is awkward at best.If they did two things - fix the collars and make the pants stripes b/w/b (OR take the white out of the helmet stripe) - I'd be satisfied with this look forever.Edit: Actually, three things...do the wordmark (like in my avatar) on the helmet bumper.Wow, that gold really bothers me. I'm really glad they matched the golds, but man, why in god's name did they choose the duller of the 9 golds they had? And that swoosh is more than awkward, it looks like it's a Chinese knockoff and the tangent between the swoosh and the numbers is ridiculously annoying haha. hugevolsfan
Those saints jerseys look awful. I do not see how anyone thinks that thick half collar looks good but to each their own.I agree the gold should have been the darker one. The Nike swoosh is also placed really bad. BlueSky
If the Saints were going to match their golds, they picked the wrong one to go with IMO. The darker / bronzier color was better for them.Agreed.Absolutely, but I've given up on that. They seem to be in love with the Vegas gold, which looks tan to me. tBBP
I still do not understand exactly why Nike felt the need to design those pro combat SoD collars so wide in the first place.But...in lieu of those, I hope the teams who choose contrasting collars go the route of the Patriots, Falcons, and Eagles next season. (Unless they can switch in season, which would be better.) *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||

FiddySicks
Seeing the Saints pants match the jersey is a good thing, but it's still way off compared to the helmet. It worries me as to what the Bucs pants will look like. Hopefully they're still shiny like the old ones. Jezus_Ghoti
The collars are so wide that my brain doesn't even interpret them as collars. I see them as misplaced shoulder stripes or something like that. I hate them so much.
phutmasterflex
Glad the Broncos still have this look. From today's practice, Manning in the blue jersey with the white pants/orange stripes. with Broncos going with the orange jersey as primary, I was under impression that they'd pair the blue top with the blue pants Go A's! Wish they would've done the same with their collars. *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||
Bouj
I'd like to know why that Bills alt is a white jersey. Since when do NFL squads do throwbacks on the road (besides special occasions like the AFL duds a few years back)? You do know NFL teams are allowed to wear white at home, right? ARTnSocal
I'd like to know why that Bills alt is a white jersey. Since when do NFL squads do throwbacks on the road (besides special occasions like the AFL duds a few years back)?I like it .... and I'll explain why it's probably being done.We wore the home blue throwbacks from 2005-2010 ... when we wore the all-white throwbacks in 2009 for AFL-50 in the HOF game vs TEN (in 1960 Oiler unis), at NE, and at TEN (with their Oilers unis again) the BILLS got rave reviews in WNY and nationwide, and for all us BILLS fans from pre-1974 there's an overwhelming amount of us who still love the '62-'73 grazing Bison logo ...Also, from 1962 - 1973 the BILLS never wore their all-white road uniforms for a home game. So wearing those all-white throwbacks at home will make history and give the old-timers and post 1973 fans a chance to see them in real-time at the Ralph. In 2005 we wore the home blue throwbacks at home against Houston, and on the road at Tampa Bay who had chose to wear their all white for that game.My guess is that the throwbacks will be worn for one home game and one road game (probably the opener at the NYJ), if the Jets elect to wear green that is .. Word is out that Buffalo will be wearing white with blue pants for most road games this season.

debo0775
So, I'm new here, and a lot of you guys have some incredible design knowledge......but those pants Peyton's wearing absolutely have to be Nike. Look at the stripe wrapping around the front of his knee. That's clearly (IMO) the Nike cut for the stripe. Now, the players in the background appear to be wearing pants that match the Reebok template, so it's possible that they're just giving Peyton what he wants in receiving new equipment. But, I guess it's possible that the practice pants are a glimpse at a possible uni combination for the regular season (although I do doubt this).
