SuperLeafsFan 44 Posted April 4, 2014 Yeah, kinda weird eh? Can someone PM Chris and let him know that this is been happening?
monkeypower 3,022 Posted April 4, 2014 Yeah, I had it too. I also tried to get onto the website through a friends computer, who's had an account nor heard of the site, and it said the account was suspended. So I think it has/had something to do with the site, not the accounts.
Jaffa 649 Posted April 4, 2014 Has anyone else had a random orange banner appear telling you you've been suspended?I tried logging on using my phone's browser and got this. I was reasonably sure I've not been naughty, and sure enough no problems logging on using my computer.EDIT: Just checked my phone again, that logs in fine now.
JPDesign 823 Posted April 4, 2014 Yeah I was trying to rack my brain for anything I may have done that was offensive! Glad I wasn't alone!
-kj 2,395 Posted April 4, 2014 It had something to do with the site as a whole; Chris said he fixed it, but didn't give details.
LAWeaver 956 Posted April 4, 2014 I had emailed CC today and even had JCRGraphix try and get on to see why I was suspended CC emailed me back, pretty much what he told Mockba.
LMU 7,632 Posted April 4, 2014 What happened was that Chris' credit card (that he uses to pay for the board hosting) had a fraud hold on it due to him using it in Montreal. Canadian fraud alerts must be really sensitive
charger77 1,791 Posted April 4, 2014 For the sake of curiosity, is the screen we got the one people get when they get suspended?
sportstar1212 447 Posted April 4, 2014 For the sake of curiosity, is the screen we got the one people get when they get suspended?I remember it looking a bit different. You also recieve an email if you actually are suspended.
SuperLeafsFan 44 Posted April 4, 2014 Yeah, it didn't look like the site at all. But thanks guys cuz I was worried. I had previous experience getting in trouble on Forums and didn't want to break any rules.

-kj 2,395 Posted April 4, 2014 I believe it was Chris's account on the web host being suspended, not anyone's account on the board.
JPDesign 823 Posted April 5, 2014 Would anybody else be in favor in creating a post limit before someone could start a thread in the concepts forum? I think something like 300 posts would greatly benefit that forum. Once someone has contributed long enough to amass 300 posts, they should be familiar with how the concepts forum works and the quality and forethought that goes into a good concept. This could help cut down on posts like, "help me decide what to do for a Denver soccer team!"Just a thought, I could be alone ere.

However, 300 seems a little high. Somewhere around 200-250 might be enough. There should also be a feature that prevents you from posting a topic there w/o a concept/picture in the OP.
BigBubba 788 Posted April 5, 2014 Wouldn't that just lead to post-padding?
rams80 4,275 Posted April 5, 2014 Hybrid post limit and tenure requirements-Kind of like how the fantasy forums work. 3 months and 100 posts.Alternatively, modify the board software so that the concepts section can only be viewed by members. The latter alternative would also help curb logo theft by outsiders.
