Nike NFL "Color Rush" uniforms?

Blue Socks and a solid stripe work nicely.

If they did this full time they could actually angle to build a very strong brand and wear this home AND away. Now the marketing dept wouldn't like due to sales but I think it would be very strong and you'd always know the yellow team was the Rams. They could still have an alt for one or two games but it would be cool to have them wear this all over the place.

People are actually liking this?

I don't like everything together, but individually, yes. I love that jersey. I want to buy one once they officially move to LA. I like the pants, but not with the yellow jersey.

Cowboys - Lakers - LAFC - USMNT - LA Rams - LA Kings - NUFC

My sediments exactly!

I can't believe the Rams still use that ridiculous toilet-seat collar, and now they have it on the color-rush jersey too.

Would love to know who in the Rams organization actually approves the uniform selections they've made in the last 15 years.

They've totally ruined the way their helmet logo is when it was more angular in the front of the helmet, making it look like an actual rams horn.

This thing where the teams are wearing the same color socks as the pants is the worst look possible.

The Rams really need to get back to something more traditional when they return to LA in 2016, being the storied NFL franchise they once were.

The Buccaneers look okay, but I'd prefer white numbers over pewter. The Rams look great, but yeah, I'm not digging that white stripe.

I don't really agree with that logic. A team doesn't have to be traditional if they are old or historic. I think a team like Arizona, who is the oldest franchise in the NFL, can possibly rock a fairly modern look (if done correctly).

The Rams aren't going to LA folks. Billionaire Kroenke may throw a hissy fit but he's not gonna get approved to go.

The Los Angeles Chargers though is going to happen.

.

Dennis .... I believe that you're 100% INCORRECT.

It's the only move that makes any sense of the 3 teams. LA does not need or want 2 teams.

Carson land sits on a toxic waste dump and landfill ....

One way or another, the Rams are coming, and if the NFL gives them any problems I hope that Kroenke pulls an Al Davis, because he will win in Court, and unlike Spanos the Rams don't need partners to make this move happen..

As a fan of yellow looks, I think the Rams all yellow look is ugly. Pairing the yellow jersey with white or blue pants would make it a great uniform. There should be one team in each league that basically owns the yellow look (like the Predators in the NHL), and it should be the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams.

There will be two teams because of TV. Fox and CBS will want a team in each conference so they can have a home team in the market.

It might not be two at once, but it will be when the dust settles.

I liked the orange in the previous set, but it feels like there's no room for it in the current one. It has to compete with all the other doodads.

Okay, a little off subject, but I didn't think it really warranted its own thread because it can be answered quickly.

But... I was doing some research for a concept series and came across this image:

Notice the helmets. Are those just for a photo-op? Or did the Rams at one point experiment with gold helmets in L.A.?

i believe that coach is Joe Strydahar who coached the team from 50 to 51, which was the year the Rams won their 2nd NFL Championship. they has already been wearing the blue/yellow helmet since 48 (it was red for the 49 season) so assuming this photo was in 51 and these are not actually game worn helmets

this is all off top of my head though, so dont take that as 100% accurate

Looking it up, it seems they wore yellow helmets but not with that particular era of uniforms.

also doing more googlin. looks like that is Coach Stydahar, 57 Don Paul, 55 Tom Fears, 32 Dan Towler, and that might be Crazy Legs Hirsch to coach's left, but all evidence points to this being from 1951 where the Rams were wearing Riddell shells, but they were the classic blue with yellow horns. heres the Rams celebrating that Championship win after a 70+ yard TD from Fears

Yeah that's exactly how I feel. Seeing this set with the primary colors as red and pewter actually gives the number style SOME sort of context and improves it if only slightly. It actually makes me wish they'd eliminate the orange altogether. Orange worked a lot better with the last set because it was a darker red, but it on this set the orange with the crazy bright red the reflective numbers almost gives them a bit of an Incredible Crash Dummies kinda vibe.

The Rams won't get OK'd to move. They'll get a stadium built in St. Louis.

The Chargers will move. The owners trust Spanos and they are the most obvious group to go. The Raiders? No chance.

There will be one team and it will be in Carson. The owners don't really want 2 teams there.

Kroenke will eventually sell the Rams and buy the Broncos.
