Future of NFL "Color Rush"

Is it just me, or is the Dolphin's CR one of the best this year? The way the teal looks sandwiched between the navy striping and orange base just looks awesome.

It's amazing how much a difference a splash of color makes for this particular team. I find their all-white look to be one of the most boring unis in the league, but then when you add teal pants to that white jersey, it becomes SO much better.

Yeah, if it weren't for the one-alternate rule, I'd like to see them add the orange jerseys as alternates (of course, the throwbacks top everything).

I do like the striping consistency (like how they all match, including the number font) on the all-white uniform, but even I'll admit that the overall design is pretty underwhelming.

I don't think anything is stopping them from just ditching the throwbacks after this year and picking up orange again. As much as I like the throwbacks, I don't really want a Brewers situation with them. They just set their identity in stone in 2012 and should stick with it. I feel like it's good enough and is perfect for the new era in Hard Rock Stadium.

There is also a timetable before you can use another official alternate, it's either 4 or 5 years but I can't remember exactly. It's the same reason the bears didn't use an alternate for a few years after switching from the retro to the orange alt, and then they stopped using them, to then go back to the retros again.

My only issue with the Dolphins' color rush is the helmet strip being blue and the pants strip being white. I wish they would've either made the pants strip blue or make the helmet stripe orange. The color balance just feels a little off otherwise. This is a very minor gripe, though. They are still one of my favorite color rush uniforms by far.

Anyone else having a hell of a time buying a color rush jersey? I slept on the Steeler's jersey and I'm starting to wonder if they will ever be back in stock.

I'm having a helluva time figuring out why I would add money into this program.

It's where I sit.

They were different.

Bills - RBR. Giants - BRB

Thank you for clearing that up to these people. That was the difference between the Giants and Bills. I can tell the Giants and Bills apart big time even by their uniforms because the Bills royal blue was slightly or lighter than the Giants royal blue.

This lifelong Dolphins fan so dislikes their current uniforms with their faded-looking Aqua, I would welcome these being used full-time.  It's sad when both the color rush and alts are superior to the regular uniforms.

It's so bland. The teal looks washed out. The orange, Colour Rush aside, is marginalized in favour of navy. The logo looks like it belongs on a cruise ship or a retirement home sign.

It's all so lifeless. The Dolphins need to commit to the throwback look as soon as possible. I wouldn't even mind it if they tweaked it, like Buffalo did to their retro look when they unveiled their current set. They just need to get away from the current design.

yeah i do agree with you, this is such a beautiful look:

I love the way that looks. If they put those stripes on the arms of the current unis, change the current number font outlines to a thicker orange stroke, and made the striping on the pants/helmet all match, i'd probably be on board.

Couldnt agree more. They just don't look like the Dolphins any more.

Someone said when they first came out that they look like a knockoff version of the Dolphins in a movie that couldn't get the licensing to use NFL images. That's the best description I've heard.

I love the throwback, but it has some issues and shouldn't be thrown back to directly. An update, like the Bills did as suggested above, is the way to go. Really, they could do a lot of different things with the jerseys and pants and still look like the Dolphins as long as the helmet has the famous striping and a logo that better resembles their original logo, not the Cruise Ship logo.

Speaking of the Dolphins color rush, it's going to be weird watching a team wear orange in Paul Brown Stadium who isn't the Bengals.
