the Falcons averaging a bajillion yards per carry and then abandoning the run with a lead

The Falcons forgot football has four quarters, not two. I watched that game and it was like they just decided to had "enough" to win and stopped playing.

Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback in NFL history. The 2001-present Patriots are the greatest dynasty in NFL history. I will probably never see one QB-coach duo, or any one player in general, win 6 SBs again. I'd rather just let it run its course and accept it as a cool bit of history I'm watching than let it make me angry or feel like some atrocity has been inflicted upon the world because some sportsball team keeps winning. I remember being in middle school and getting uncontrollably angry when the 2008 Titans lost in the divisional round after such an amazing 10-0 start season. I felt cheated and outright hated human beings for the childish reason of their being professional athletes in a uniform I don't root for. Why would I want to fly off the handlebars like that over a game as an adult? Where's the entertainment or happiness in that? And to feel that way over a Pats dynasty that has had an unprecedented run of success? Not worth it. Life goes on. I'll just watch it until it ends and get to tell kids decades from now, "I watched it unfold, I was there, I'm a witness to sports history." Makes for a cool life novelty, if anything.

There’s really one solution to this issue here.

We need to do what we did with politics and just ban all NFL talk permanently.

I don't know what I would need to do so I could sit down with my Dad and watch Dallas win a Super Bowl together; but I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Kill Jerry Jones?  It's pretty much the only way they have a chance.

It isn't just that the Patriots win all the time... it's that even sometimes when they should lose, they get lucky and somehow win.

Except that they do lose.

Since they beat the Rams in 01, there have been... wait for it... 12 seasons they didn't win.

Not only that - but NINE SEASONS IN A ROW that they didn't win.

You guys simply don't know what you're talking about.

Even with that, they were up by 16 with 8 minutes left, facing a 3rd and 1 and they're trying to throw the ball 50 yards down the field despite averaging 6 YPC.  It was completely insane.

Yeah this, I mean I'm probably biased as a Panthers fan but SB 50 was an awful game, and not that I was around at the time but if I was I would have gotten pretty sick of the run of blowouts in the 80s

Well as a Broncos fan, I'd say that was one of the greatest Super Bowls of all time, probably top 3 along with XXXII and XXXIII 😁

No, just ban miserable mopes like you and the others.  The rest of us can discuss sports without hyperbole.

I normally don’t get involved with this type of stuff, and I’m keeping my involvement brief, but that’s looking at it a bit too simply here. No NFL team other than the 80’s 49ers have even come close to what the Patriots have accomplished. Other than the Patriots now, one NFL team has won 6 championships. They did that over a span of 34 years. The Patriots accomplished it in half that time. I think the fatigue is understandable, especially when even in the years they didn’t win they’ve been a near ever-present in Championship games.

I go to bed every night hoping that Stephen isn't a spineless man, and can get someone in there who, may have a big ego, but is a winner.

I mean, maybe next year, they'll finally cut loose The Clapper? I can dream.

THEY DO NOT WIN ALL THE TIME.  Please learn how words work, then come back to me.  Thanks.
