the other 8 combos may be (jersey/pant) black/orange, black/black, black/white white/black, orange/black, orange/orange, orange/white, white/orange?

That’s disappointing. Our orange uniforms don’t look bad, but black has always looked better.

So OOW is the primary? I guess that's a good way to separate themselves from Cleveland, but I wonder how the fans will react? I'm also afraid the Thursday night game will be a Color Rash matchup with Cleveland wearing all brown and Cincinnati wearing all orange. so basically a version of this. Yuck!

I like the simplicity of the jerseys but am quite curious how they'll pull off mix and match. I guess orange primary helps - black stripes on helmet, home/road, and orange/white pants. Maybe they'll just live with reversed orange stripes on black.

 

White tiger seems cool as a color rush one off but lack of orange seems glaring for a regular road uni.  Will it fit with orange helmet? Will black or orange pants along with orange helmet be enough? I'd love to see proper mockups.

That CBS article is from March 8, and there’s no source (eg “according to team sources”) on the orange jersey claim.

Orange primaries for Cincinnati seems better in theory than in practice. Yes, it separates them from the Browns, no, even the middling Bengals have a history of their own worth preserving and looked their best in the low-key but well-accented black jerseys from the '80s and '90s. I feel like Nike really wanted to make orange primaries happen for the Browns, couldn't swing it, but could with the Bengals.

Yeah if that’s the case I’ll be stunned if the Bengals primary home uniform isn’t mono orange. Sounds very Nike.

Had that happened, [I believe] it'd have been moreso the fault of Jimmy Haslam than Nike, being the UT alumnus that he is.  (As we all know, the Volunteers' signature color is orange.)

As much as I liked that look when they wore it in the game wherein Vonn Bell cleaned Smith-Schuster's TikTok clock, I think the reason it works so well is because it's an alternate.  Making it primary might cause it to lose a little luster...although, OTOH, no team yet has a primary light/light/dark primary look, so the Bengals could look unique from that standpoint.
