My favorite game I've ever been to was the season finale in 2002 against the Lakers at the Rose Garden. 25th Anniversary of the '77 championship team. Scottie Pippen got a technical, and the crowd reacted by throwing the Bill Walton dolls that they handed out to everyone at the refs.

I was also at Rasheeds last game as a Blazer.

Not many other exciting moments for me as a Blazer fan.

Game 5 of the 1984 World Series when Kirk Gibson hit two homeruns and the Tigers won their first title since 1968.

Houston at Cleveland November 1995. The game on the weekend it was announced that the Browns were leaving Cleveland for Baltimore. Talk about an ugly crowd. The story broke the day before the game.

Game one of the 1998 AL Divisional Series when Dwight Gooden and Mike Hargrove got tossed in the first inning and Dave Burba came on in relief and pitched the Tribe to a win over The Red Sox.

-Game 4 1995 Stanley Cup Finals, Devils win their first Stanley Cup

-Game 7 2003 Stanley Cup Finals, Devils, win their third Cup.

-Game 4 2001 World Series, the first of the back to back 9th inning home run games. Tino ties it in the 9th Jeter wins it in the 10th with a home run right in front of me.

-Game 7 2003 American League Championship Series, Aaron Boone wins it.

-Sunday Round 2002 Masters, Tiger won probably the most incredible Sports event I have attended because of the access you get. Got to talk to Tiger's family at one point in the day.

Some I would like to forget.

-Game 6 2004 ALCS the bloody sock game.

-Game 5 2000 Stanley Cup Finals, Belfour vs. Brodeur. 0-0 triple overtime game but unfortunately Madano scored to win it for the Stars forcing the Devils to win the Cup on the road.

I was there when...

-Dallas lost to Pittsburgh in Super Bowl XIII.

-Dallas beat Buffalo in Super Bowl XXVIII.

-T.O. as a 49er got nailed by George Teague for dancing on the midfield star. Emmitt "reclaiming" it.

-Emmitt Smith became the NFL's all-time leading rusher.

-UT's Ricky Williams broke the NCAA rushing record against A&M (since broken). We've been proud of him ever since :P .

-almost all of the Ring of Honor inductions occurred at Texas Stadium, notably Landry.

-Lenny Wilkins won his 900th game coaching the Atlanta Hawks over Shaq's Orlando Magic. The old Omni is the most bizarre arena I think I've ever been in.

-the White Sox won the World Series in game four over the Astros in Houston. I'm indifferent to the Sox, and I despise all Houston teams...I was just happy to witness a coronation.

:notworthy:

  • Went to what was supposed to have been the last Jets home game (in 2005) vs. the Kings, before the grassroots campaign resurrected them for one last season.
  • Saw Roger Clemens pitch and Jose Canseco hit a home run in the same game.
  • Saw Pedro Martinez and Roy Halladay pitch against one another.
  • Was at Milt Stegall best game ever... 4 TDs and 234 yards on 4 catches, 2005 at home vs. BC.
  • Was at the 2006 Grey Cup, Lions vs. Alouettes.

I will be at Toronto FC's first ever home game, next month against Kansas City.

I will be at perhaps David Beckham's first MLS regular season game, when LA visits Toronto in August.

the only really cool one I've ever been to was the Oregon-Oklahoma game this year. was too young (with parents who didn't buy tickets) when the Blazers were really good, and I was in high school when the Ducks were really good in football...and wasn't back to school yet for us beating No. 1 UCLA this year too.
