NFL Changes for 2009 season

I'm fine with a lime green alt if it becomes a reality (preferably not as home and away jersey). :)

But that logo slick is not convincing at all. Even a concept template -- labeled as such -- would have been a better way to go. That, and waiting a day to comment...

Totally understand that the jersey is fake, but if it was real, I think it'd be pretty sweet. Love the Seahawks (and Sounders) colors. Wish the Mariners would neon-up their teal.

This is a week old, but more on when the '99 throwbacks will be worn.

Opening day and the game at Tennessee are right now good candidates. Unfortunately it sounds like Tennessee would be wearing the Houston throwbacks. Which is utterly pointless, because the Rams didn't play the Houston Oilers in Super Bowl XXXIV, but the Tennessee Titans.

The "logo slick" at the very least is faked. Like Pantone said, the PMS colors listed don't match up with the neon green - or any other Seattle color.

The Pantone color numbers listed on the logo slick are the following:

Does this throw the alternate jersey claim under the bus? I dunno for sure, but the logo slick at the very least is total BS.

I'm just going to throw this out there (confidentially be damned)...

It's the Jaguars' color specs, with 'Process Black' being modified to read '300'.

Nice try, Paul.

To be fair, Lukas said he spotted it on a Seahawks fan blog, so I think he may have taken the bait as well.

That is my thought.. When I first saw it I noticed the team name font on the top left didn't match any of the other ones I have, and then I realized that it was the jags colors listed...

I thought the AFL teams were only wearing their throwbacks against each other. One game at home, one game on the road. Agree with rams80 that wearing the 99 throwbacks would be much more appropriate against a Titans-clad Tennessee team. On the other hand, assuming the Rams have to follow league rules and can only wear one throwback/alternate, does anybody really think they'd pick the white, road version that they'd most likely be wearing at Tennessee? Understanding it was the jersey they won the Super Bowl in, dark jerseys tend to sell much better, and we all know that retail sales drive throwback games on the field. I struggle to think of an NFL team that's worn a white Alternate in anything other than a few Thanksgiving Classic games (and even then we saw several color vs. color matchups) since 1994.

Didn't the Rams wear white at home most of the time in STL? Maybe I'm mistaken, but nearly every photo I can find from the late '90s shows them in white. I think the white is far more representative of their STL era (just like the blue would remind me of their LA days.)

Just speculation (of course I can't back this up) but I'd guess that while most dark jerseys probably outsell most white jerseys, the old Rams might be the exception, since their white jersey contained so much color (yellow sleeves, blue horn, etc.) It really was the better of the two.

Nope, the Rams/Lambs have only worn white at home since moving to St. Louis once....and that was last year against the Cryboys. They last wore white jerseys at home for the first half of the 1994 season, and all of 1993. Prior to that, they wore white off and on at home from 1978-82, and even before that they wore white for all their home games from 1964-71, and most of 72. ^_^

Well I sit corrected. Even so, just about all of the "classic" photos of their '99 season show them in their white jerseys, so whether they wore them half the time or all the tme, it's still (at least IMO) what they're remembered in. Obviously, for a St. Louisian this might be different.

I wish the Jets would use the classic 80's and early 90s Jets uniform as their alternate. They wore that much longer than the Titans. So stupid.

I have heard many Jets fans say they want this back. This is the Jets uniform that I grew up with. We are Gang Green, not Blue and Gold

You know, this is one uniform where I always thought the addition of black to the color scheme was a plus. Once they put the black trim on the numbers and stripes, they had a really balanced, classic look. And those green pants were awesome.

But in today's sleeveless jersey era, what would you have? A green jersey with white numbers, white shoulder numbers, and a white collar. I think if a team tried to unveil that now, we'd be all over it like stink on :censored:.

It's where I sit.
