To the guys talking about the NMSU uniforms, I think he was only referring to the piping on the uniform.I could live with this simplified version in lieu of avoiding some of the horrific results we've seen from the NFL this decade. While the piping doesn't look bad, I hope ASM is right about it having no piping. Trust me, the piping fad will die and when it does, it'll be a hard death. Kind of like forrest green and mauve being used in interior design...when the fad was over, it became an extremely dated look. Piping fits that category, and it's death won't come a moment too soon.I agree though, with what some others have said about the gold being gone. It's going to make the helmets look mis-matched. habsfan1 Posted March 29, 2009 Share Posted March 29, 2009 The thing is, that concept is starting to look good even without the gold. But the way I see it, the major issue is the unbalanced colors. Only the helmet logo and the border of that teeny little white wordmark below the collar will be the only elements painted with some gold. I might go back and make some changes to it. It looks a little weird to me. I've gone back and made changes 3 times already (you can see all 3 on the jags board lol).. Also, it might just be me but the teal looks a little off which is weird because I actually used the teal straight from the logo. I might make some more minor changes to it as the week goes along, but this is what I've got.And here it is with the teal socks. They look a little funky though. I think my favorite part is how it fixes the teal problem on the road numbers. They kept black, but made teal more visible. A good compromise IMO. I like the teal-black combo, and even though black is the road focus, it still might achieve what they are trying to do if teal gets at least that much play. It's an overall, clean, simplistic concept that is by no means over the top (while still being somewhat creative). In my opinion, more NFL teams need to go this route when redesigning their uniforms.
