TheOldRoman
As a non-sox fan chicago sports talk radio listener, I'm glad as hell that Ozzie's gone so I don't have to listen to them talk about the Ozzie/Kenny crap next season. Some of the worst radio I've ever heard over this he-said/she-said nonsense. You listen to sports talk radio and you are sick of it being crap?! In Chicago?! You regularly subject yourself to half-drunken morons debating with either blowhard former jocks or know-nothing smarmy pseudo-intellectuals, and yet them talking about Ozzie and Kenny upset you? Are you one of the people who listens to Boers and Bernstein and receives enjoyment from Bernstein making fun of callers?
TheOldRoman
I didn't say Swisher was a bag guy or a horrible person, just that he was a douche. I think a big part of his struggles in Chicago was that he was counted on to be a big part of the offense. Oakland was a laid back place, as winning wasn't required. When he went to NY, I believe he started as a fourth outfielder before getting the role fulltime. Either way, they have A-Roid, Teixiera, Jeter and others who are expected to carry the load. No pressure is put on Swisher there.Yeah, because the A's never got to within four games of the World Series while he was there or anything...Yes, they had a good year in 2006. That doesn't change the fact that the sole purpose of every A's player was not to win, but to play well enough to one day be traded for prospects who could then be traded for more prospects. They won close 90 games a year the majority of the last decade including one season where they won more than 100 games. But don't feel too bad though. This ESPN movie Catching Hell isn't making the fans just north of you guys look any better. I just like to listen to sports talk radio, and ozzie/kenny/the sox are subjects I don't want to hear about anymore.Did you catch all that or do I need to include more question marks and exclamation points? njmeadowlanders
So much for having no races...both the AL & NL Wild Cards will come down to the final day (and maybe then some)...And I'm so rooting for Reyes to hold off Braun for the NL Batting Crown and give the Mets their first ever batting champ (yes, we have a pathetic history don't we?). DarkJourney
Selig would love if both wild cards end up in a one game playoff. St.Louis vs. Atlanta and Tampa Bay vs. Boston. If would be a preview of what Selig wants in adding an extra team to the playoffs in each league.

BigEd76
Besides the wildcards being tied, we still don't have any clinches on the #2/#3 seeds either. Still MIGHTY
Arizona got blown apart in the 10th and will be the #3 seed, with the Brewers getting #2 and HFA in the NLDS.Besides the wildcards being tied, we still don't have any clinches on the AL #2/#3 seeds either. Texas remains 1 up but Detroit holds the tiebreaker.Someone spoke WAY too soon. Ryan Roberts hit a walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning, and the D-Backs are still one game behind the Brewers. So both wild cards come down to one last game tomorrow... and maybe another the day after haha, BUT STILL!And the seeding in both leagues is still up for grabs as well. Huge day tomorrow. | ANA | LAA | LAR | LAL | ASU | CSULB | USMNT | USWNT | LAFC | OCSC | MAN UTD |
