DC in Da House w/o a Doubt
And as for the Brewers, despite all the issues their uniforms have, I've always found it super cool that they literally have the color of beer on their uniforms. Probably because royal and athletic gold is admittedly superior but some of you are way too hard on the metallic beer gold .Here's the issue I have with the metallic gold. It looks fantastic as an accent color in metallic thread:Tryi to translate that into other fabrics, and something gets lost. That top navy and gold is a gorgeous color scheme. The bottom one, not so much.Good point. We go from the unique look of beer to the bland look of honey mustard.Serious question: Why can't they make the gold of the jersey look like the gold on the hat? It's 2015, we can't figure out a way? Gothamite
I think "good taste" is probably the best reason not to have a metallic gold jersey. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.

bosrs1
I think "good taste" is probably the best reason not to have a metallic gold jersey.Doesn't have to be metallic gold. But they could find a lighter more "beer" color than what they're using without having to actually be metallic.

So, essentially the bland and uninspiring sand color the Padres have been using for a decade. It might be better from a consistency standpoint, but still, woof. The metallic thread looks fantastic on just about every other element of the Brewers uniforms. LEWJ
Francisco Lindor, SS for the Indians has been wearing some nice looking stirrups to go along with his (old school?) slightly longer sleeves.Sleeves:Stirrups:Both (in faux-back uni):https://twitter.com/Indians/status/623590463531024384?s=09Also are his pants tailored rather than just rolled up? Either way, make this look mandatory, please MLB. | BROWNS | BUCKEYES | CAVALIERS | INDIANS |

WavePunter
I've actually always liked it.. Sure, it could've been done a bit better, but I've always thought it looked pretty good over white pants, and I'm a huge fan of secondary-color alts, especially when they're the team's lighter color (like the A's yellows or O's oranges).. CubsFanBudMan
I noticed how good the Brewers metallic gold was when I bought the hat and jersey a few years ago. It might not seem like it's good on TV or in pictures, but it looks really good up close. I like the gold jersey mostly due to it's unique look, but yeah, the gold is way better on the jerseys and hat.I think this is true of a lot of jerseys. One I noticed back in the day was the green Devil Rays. The blue piping was hard to see from far away or on TV but up close was great. Also the greenish gray the old Marlins road jerseys used (with nice silver thread details on cap and shirt, too). And almost all metallic thread. The caps these Brewers caps replaced used it too, including a road version that had a primarily gold M and barely noticeable green outline. It makes me think the new Dolphins jerseys look much better up close than on TV or in pictures, because the orange is apparent. Also, I like the Brewers gold jerseys. *runs*

I love those longer sleeves. I hadn't really noticed it on anyone before, aside from under-sleeves. Thanks for that pic. Not sure about Lindor's, but Werth's jersey is definitely made with longer sleeves, it appears. | BROWNS | BUCKEYES | CAVALIERS | INDIANS |
GriffinM6
Eight of the 9 players on the field for the Red Sox right now are wearing short pants. They actually look like a baseball team. It's beautiful.Edit: The Astros have several players wearing stirrups tonight as well.
Discrim
Yeah those things are terrible. They're so ridiculously overkill. But I absolutely HATE what they have now. They're easily the most boring set the Astros have ever had, despite things like the bright orange cap.I think they could find a way to use the rainbow stripes in moderation enough to embrace them without looking completely gaudy. What, you mean like this? I probably wouldn't mind at all if they scrapped it. If they got rid of it, I wouldn't mind them adding another fauxback to the mix. Part of me also thinks they are due for a pretty big overhaul but you really don't ever hear even a hint of that around here. They've had the current look for a long time..
