Ridleylash Posted August 27, 2019 Share Posted August 27, 2019 At first, I didn't know where the piano keys were so I got confused about everyone talking about piano keys. Then I noticed they were the Ls in "All Star" and immediately my love of the logo jumped even higher. It's such an elegant and classy logo. If they were an MLS team, you'd be right. But they're not; they're an NHL team. The leaping panther is also the logo associated with the '96 playoff run, so I would imagine most Panther fans would want that on their jersey as they rise back to prominence. In all seriousness, the Kings' utter aversion to even throwing back to the purple/black/silver era at all is weird. They'll throw throwbacks to every other look in the team's history out...but not that specific one. It makes way more sense as a third to me then something that looks very similar to their modern look with a different logo and some extra striping.
