Sport 13,774 Posted February 19, 2020 Jackets have turned on a dime and have suddenly lost 6 straight (0-3-3) and are now outside of the playoffs. Doesn't feel like they'll get that magic back with all these injuries.

AustinFromBoston 708 Posted February 23, 2020 Am I the only one more shocked by the fact that Tampa Bay lost to Arizona 7-3? I mean, I know Arizona is good this year (for once) But it's still the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The leafs lost to their own Zamboni driver who happens to be their minor league practice goalie on the side, 6-3. That’s a lot more shocking.

Move the Leafs to - ugh, I dunno, Birmingham, Alabama? Somewhere where hockey is less popular than lawn bowling.

Would not be the first time a Toronto hockey team moved to Birmingham

The President's Trophy-winning, swept-in-the-first-round-by-a-team-that-never-won-a-playoff-series-before Tampa Bay Lightning, let us never forget. Arizona was good last year, too, but got absolutely obliterated by injuries; sorta like what's happening to the Pens and Jackets this year. They just barely missed the playoffs last year in spite of it, so I'm not shocked they're doing well this year. Good to finally see them get scoring more then like 2-3 goals, though, that's been a problem. Though Tampa's gotta be breathing a sigh of relief that they didn't lay the biggest egg of the night. Boston decided to one up them and let in like 9 goals against the Canucks...
SFGiants58 13,687 Posted February 23, 2020 I’m just annoyed Thornton wasn’t put out on the street with a “free” sign.

There's no way you guys make the playoffs anyways, might as well let Thornton have one last ride. 'Sides, he'd be useful to help develop your younger players with some veteran experience; and that's important for a rebuilding team.

The Sharks should eliminate whatever is left of the 2014 “rotten core” and start anew. There has to be a new organizational culture.
