It's not that cool -- the Bucks belong in their original colors as much as the Brewers do. Let different teams be different teams. There's only one Pittsburgh.

He meant the use of light blue as a accent color. Calm down

Yeah, I was talking about the minimal light blue accents.

I like the Bucks forest green and sand color scheme better than the Christmas colors. It's not full on vintage full-time, but I find that it works very well. I'm also allright with navy here. Sometimes navy works, sometimes it doesn't. This is an instance where I think it fits well.

Overall, I love this.  The set lacks some cohesion (e.g., 4 different sleeve stripe patterns) and the barley ball sticks out like a sore thumb.  But the fonts are great, the color scheme is nice, and a whole lot of crap has been erased.  The previous look was into its second decade of being stale.

Love the pinstriped uniform minus the barley ball.  Second-best road uniform they have ever had (Germanic).  Cream primary is nice and blue alt is serviceable.

They have done a good job making an update to a classic; not as great as Toronto, but right there with Houston.

Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse."

Why is no one talking about the road hats? The yellow front panels make them look like BP/Sprimg Training hats. Other than that it is a very very nice set, the navy alternate could use an outline on the script.

The panel caps are just for the alternate uniform.

Some random thoughts from someone who isn’t a Brewers fan or a professional designer...

* I love the modified BiG. It’s definitely in line with the Blue Jays modification of a vintage logo. The opinion of this non-professional designer is that it *does* improve the flaws of the original. It’s now smooth and balanced.

* It feels painfully obvious that the new BiG is shoehorned into this identity. As much as the fan base wanted the BiG back, there was too much to lose (i.e. merchandise sales) to bring it back. I don’t think MLB has any rules similar to NBA for not allowing full rebranding to retro marks, but this allows for sales of new and old merch simultaneously.

* As touched on earlier, the cream home uniform evokes memories of that first uniform set post-Pilots. Intentional or not, it’s a nice touch for this anniversary. Overall, however, the pinstripe set is superior to the cream.

* I’m not sure which adjective I want to use in regard to the yellow panel cap: anomaly or atrocious. The original incarnation paired nicely with the powder blue set. According to Dressed to the Nines, the Brewers did wear the yellow panel with road grays for one season (1985) even though I can’t find any photographic proof. In this current iteration, it works with the solid blue alternate jersey, but poorly with the road gray. I can only hope they bring back the delightfully mismatched white panel batting helmet to go with it.

* The return of the barrelman is great news! I have no idea where it fits in!

* The barleyball is brilliant! The subtlety is a nice complement to the home uniform. Complex designs with forced meaning (*cough* Bricksconsin *cough*) just stick out like a sore thumb.

* Looking at the logoset that was unveiled, it left me feeling like I was looking at a “History of Brewers logos” timeline. Almost akin to what the Alouettes did this past season. But looking at it as a cohesive brand? It’s not.

* Some tweaks I would make: Barleyball for the center of the new BiG, and lowercase “e” in the Brewers home jersey script and new roundel logo as a further nod to the past

Overall, the Brewers have improved their on-field look, but I’m still not sure if it’s just addiction by subtraction.

Man, I’m on unpopular opinion boat with this rebrand probably more than I’ve been with any other rebrand. I think the yellow front panel cap would look AWESOME with that road set 🤷‍♂️

I know this goes totally against the spirit of this board, but overall with the BiG, I just don’t think it’s enough of a change to really feel that it’s that big of a downgrade. It’s really subtle. At least, to me it is. Maybe I’m losing my touch. Double 🤷‍♂️

Honestly, I loved it. The new wordmarks are much better than their last season' crappy scripts. And, I'm happy they're using "Milwaukee" for the road. I had three complaints. One, Why don't use royal blue on uniforms or have a royal blue jersey for home games only? Two, Why the road is usually light grey? It's very common in the majors. Why don't try more unique like blue-tint grey or powder blue? Last but not least, I don't like the "M" and "B" connected by webbing. It's weird.

Why a another roundel? The "BiG" look way better it stands for own. Least they got rid of metallic gold and crappy scripts well, the number font. Also, I loved the return of The Barrelman and the "barley ball". All of the uniforms looks great minus the yellow panel cap and the swoosh in front, honestly.
