After seeing that pic, I have to say I'm not a fan of the Steelers wearing black pants at all. My preference is to never see them again, but I know that won't be the case.

 

I think the issue there is that the black pants really highlight how ugly the Steelers' pants stripes are. If they were thinned out to match the helmet stripe, it would look better.

Yeah a white stripe should definitely be in between the 2 orange ones. They should've kept the orange stripes with no white for their color rush instead of having stripeless pants

I’m not sure because as you said they only wear it once and they did it on the road. It was a strange choice to wear it for a Sunday afternoon road game because it’s always been worn on Thursday. So now they are facing the Chargers at home on TNF Week 15 and will just wear their normal look because the Chargers said they are wearing white. I have a suspicion that the Raiders could surprise us with black pants but I don’t know.

They haven’t announced yet, but that’s the combo I’m expecting. They’ve only worn the powder over yellow once so far (and that was one the road) compared to three times in powder over white, so it seems likely that they’ll break it out today.

On brown pants, this looks like 2 orange stripes, not a O/B/O stripe. I hate them.  Save the brown pants for color rush and use orange or whire pants. Use them for practice if the browns need Thier money's worth.

The dolphins look great, I don't know why anyone would want the throwbacks to return because they aren't any better than these.

The satin helmet is messing with my head a bit. It doesn’t look bad, really. It just looks incorrect for that throwback and it’s kind of annoying. The shiny black is what made that throwback so good, I think.

The red is fine, and I get the historical context. But if you take these and swap out the old logo on the sleeves and helmets for the new one? For my money that’s a hard look to beat. 

 

The simple all black helmet adds to the simplicity of it all. Thats a good thing and gives them a bit more of a unique, no frills feel. The red helmet is great, but it doesn’t have the same effect. 
 

The Falcons baffle me because they have two fantastic helmets to choose from, but instead went with the clown car they have now complete with chrome bumper.

I like Atlanta’s new unis, but why didn’t they just do the throwbacks with a modernized dirty bird logo... ? Could have done a throwback style version of their red color rush jersey.
