OnWis97
I think that top concept needs an orange stripe between the two red stripes on the helmet at white jersey. Otherwise, it's pretty solid. daniel75
The flag just doesn’t look good in creamsicle imo.

Those numbers are metallic pewter similar to the helmet. Amazing how Nike can make metallic numerals but not jerseys or pants. The numbers have a reflective silver layer outside the pewter fill. 2 hours ago, Skycast said: Here's a couple of concepts I found that lean more towards what I'm hoping for... That last one is tight, but it looks like a Raiders concept. The modern Creamsicle version next to it has promise, but I think the logo could be explored a bit. Also, for what it’s worth to the larger group here, I’ve heard the uniform design process starts with the NFL designing the helmet internally and then handing it off to the outfitter to incorporate into the design, which I’m guessing is a big reason why we see lots of mismatched helmets and fabrics. Dipping a new color takes a lot of development time and often doesn’t make economical sense if the new helmet color is very close to the old one or very close to a color that’s already in the licensees’ existing palettes. imawalkingcorpse
On the Pewter Report podcast Scott stated that Pewter will still be a color on the uniform. I hate the new Buccaneers logo. Pewter was boring in 97, even more boring now.

hormone
Wow, 46 pages compared to the Falcons 20 some. Must be a more popular team and nothing to do with the huge desire to dump this uniform.
chakfu
Reminds me of the Jets throwing back to the 60s and now again to the 80s. Both decent looks. Dungy era was a great look, but I'm hankering for creamsicle again. Interestingly I don't think I've seen a new orange concept I like a lot yet, and definitely not one with pewter. Ones above are decent. I bet it's a white helmet.

Atlanta just came out of nowhere, hence the smaller thread.

Thank God. But now I’m terrified that they switched to a white helmet and just shoehorned pewter into the uniform set in a worst of both worlds compromise. Worst of both worlds. That basically sums up the Bucs. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) TBGKon
Ok we may have a leak for the uniform number font. A person in a Bucs fan group I’m in on Facebook saw this poster in a store in South Tampa. Check out the 2020 font at the bottom.

Scrumptious Ham
Plus "return to glory". There isn't much glory to choose from. Pretty much just that era.
aawagner011
Also, the poster has an article with the headline “Hoisting New Colors” and what looks to be the old logo. That suggests it’s from when they switched from the creamsicles to red and pewter. I have a feel the colors will be the same and the uniforms only simplified. 8BW14
I’d be really surprised if Tampa Bay uses a straight-up varsity block font. Nearly every new football uniform we’ve seen in the last 10-15 years has featured a numeral font with some degree of “uniqueness”.

It also appears that the only newspaper clipping that references the Creamsicle era in the teaser video is about Tampa Bay being awarded a team. And while the one helmet rule completely eliminated the team's ability to wear the Creamsicles with the proper helmet, before that was put in place I believe they wore the Creamsicles only four times (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012) from 1997 through 2012. The team also passed over the opportunity to go back to the Creamsicles, or a modernized version, when they redesigned their uniforms in 2014. Which means that the team was designing new uniforms right on the heels of wearing the Creamsicles (and being unable to properly continue doing so), but still did not use them as the basis for new uniforms. And let's not forget that this is a franchise that went so far as to hold a ceremony to get rid of Bucco Bruce. Pirate takes the plunge By Rick Stroud April 8, 1997 Quote In the end, Bucco Bruce wasn't forced to walk the plank or wasn't even buried in a watery grave. As you've come to expect after 14 straight losing seasons, the Bucs simply didn't execute. Instead, a Tampa Bay Buccaneers flag with Bucco Bruce's likeness was lowered from the mast of the Bounty at The Pier in St. Petersburg on Monday as four shots were fired from a cannon. (Three might have been more appropriate—one for each winning season). As he had for 21 years, the team's plumed pirate mascot kept one eye closed and even appeared to finally grimace during the one-hour ceremony. By lowering his unpopular mug, team officials hoped to give a face lift to the NFL's forlorn losers. The Creamsicles and Bucco Bruce are fun, sure, but I'd be shocked if the new uniforms are based on them. Which, of course, means that the new uniforms will be based on them.
