2021 NFL Season - Adults Arguing About Matt Stafford

That's what my childhood looked like. But the crowd -- not old-ass Marv Levy acting like he's in the Elk Lodge in 1958.

Remember when a few deflated footballs got your star QB suspended for multiple games &  stripped of 1st round draft picks?

But whatever crap the WFT has done that warrants a congressional investigation is apparently only worth a fine.

Only thing consistent about the NFL discipline is how inconsistent it is.

Burying the investigation makes the league look guilty of covering things up, does it not?

Only if there is consistent pressure and not just from DC but also from advertisers, sponsors, etc.

Realistically? I don’t really see anyone  who has the power to do anything actually caring about this beyond a couple weeks if even that due to the 24 hour news cycle as some new outrage wherever shows up.

Yet another wrinkle in the STL saga has emerged; and now Kroenke is pissing off his fellow owners. This could get real ugly.

Thinking this is posturing to get Davis cut off (who reading between the lines from everything today probably is having his cash flow problems resurface) and to either force the Chargers out or into paying more than a nominal rent to the Rams for sharing Sofi.  Honestly, in light of this, I'd be annoyed too.  https://www.ksdk.com/article/sports/st-louis-trial-nfl-rams-owners-fined/63-68d4936f-fdf5-4573-afce-77b8fc88de1d

That was a BRUTAL way to lose a game...receiver wasn't even looking for the ball, and the defender just happened to tap the ball behind the receiver's head, tip it to himself...walk-off interception.  And the Cardinals fall from the ranks of the unbeaten.

(Speaking of beaten, Kyler Murray, as impressive as he's looked thus far, looked pretty beat up last night.  That can't be a good sign for Arizona going forward--and for their sake, since I have nothing against Arizona or Kyler Murray, I hope it pans out for them.)

You know, if the man went through the justice system, served his time, and followed all legal procedures to be restored to society, we kind of need to accept his rehabilitation, don't we? Isn't that our side of the bargain?

Also, the Bills shouldn't wear white at home.

We don’t. He didn’t do any time for the murders because the prosecution screwed up. The murders should’ve been life without parole. He should be given the same level of contempt as Casey Anthony or pre-Jinx Robert Durst.

Well there is the whole not serving a day in prison for murder thing, but yea sure let’s accept his rehabilitation for continuing to be a horrible human being after escaping prison time.
