2013 MLB Logo and Uniform Changes

Hopefully, in 2014 with new ownership, the Padres will finally be doing a redeisgn of the mess that they have now. As for the Nationals, what can they be adding now.

Another potential uniform change? That is the Padres' schtick, I guess; don't have a consistent look, just change uniforms every year or two, like a soccer team, which in some bizarre way, I may (or may not) be ok with because of the uniqueness of that in MLB.

My uniform wishe's and caviar dreams?

1) Marlins Red Orange Cap is the default home cap, complete with the Red Orange Helmets.

2) Marlins BP includes one of their little used colors, either Blue or Yellow and City Name across the front.

3) Braves ditch the Navy Blue Cap and Navy Jersey.

4) Mets stick to one Blue ALT, with New York across the front preffered.

5) Nat's drop the Navy/Red Cap

6) Astros introduce a Rainbow jersey.

7) Yankees take part in another throwback game

8) Angels go back to a gold Halo

9) Texas doesn't settle on one color, but obviously prefers one over the other.

10) Dodgers drop the LA sleeve patch

11) Reds find a way to add the old black/red cap to the rotation again.

12) Tigers introduce a Navy Alt

13) White Sox Introduce a Grey/Black cap with a black monogram logo

14) Rays recolor one of their original caps and jerseys and use it as a midweek alternate.

Well I believe there is only ONE blue Mets alt, however is does read Mets on the front

As for my own hopes?

1. Red Sox bring back the red "BOSTON" outlined in blue to the road unis

2. Rays put "TAMPA BAY" on the road unis

3. White Sox put the sock-diamond back on the road sleeve

4. Twins make the throwback cursive jersey the primary (fat chance)

5. Rangers put "RANGERS" back on the home unis

6. Mariners bring back teal alt. cap to match the teal alt. jerseys

7. Nationals have script "Nationals" on an alt. jersey

8. Pirates change head logo (bring back the John Wayne one I'm thinking)

9. My Brew Crew puts "Milwaukee" script on road unis

10. D-Backs go back to the purple & teal of old.

Excited to hear the Mets will be getting 2 blue alts. I hope to see one use white lettering outlined in orange and the other orange outlined in white. Would also love to see an alt cap too, but not counting on it.

that's my understanding. just like the los mets jerseys of the past two years: one will be orange with white outline, one white with orange outline.

alt cap...i've heard conflicting things, so I'm not comfortable speculating. personally, i'm torn, i'd love to see an orange billed alt cap, but in the other hand, it's nice just to have the one blue cap. shrug, i'd be happy either way on that.

I was going to post the exact same thing but didn't want to be accused of being a curmudgeon.

Nobody cares what you "wish" for. Wish lists are for Santa - not the "fact" thread.

The Cards are going to look so much better with red caps on the road. I actually really like the way the navy caps look, just not on that uniform. The red shoes especially make the blue cap look out of place. Dare I say it, the navy cap might be best used as an alt to go with a red jersey.

I don't think the Cards would add an alternate jersey, but a navy cap with a red jersey would be nice. Maybe if it was a couple (3-5 times a year) thing it might fly, but I doubt it.

In addition to the Pirates bringing back the mustard caps, I would like to see the Angels wear "Los Angeles" on the road uniforms and have an "LA" with or without the halo. The Cubs should also go back to the monochrome look at they wore against the Giants this year with the thinking of "we wore these the last time we won the WS maybe we can do it again. Don't think it'd ever happen but I'd love to see them bring back the ice cream man cap to wear with a blue alt at home. I think a colored jersey is the one situation where that type of cap actually works.

Right. The navy cap is actually a very, very good cap. It's just that the red one is about as fantastic as they come. I'll miss the navy from time to time, but won't complain seeing the red more.

Except for it's long history and the fact that it's very popular among Cardinals fans. I think it works great as the road. Especially when playing in Philly, Cincinnati, Arizona and next year, Anaheim.
