Capt. America
Curious why they scrapped silver all together in favor of black. It worked out for them, but seemed like an unnecessary mod since they revamped marks would've worked just fine in those colors. My thought is that they wanted to further differentiate themselves from their expansion partners; the Carolina Panthers. Both were big cats, had a shade of blue and were going to use silver features. I'm certainly glad Jacksonville decided to go with a different look. BelfourThibault
Strictly speaking, that's not an unused logo - at least one of their corporate partners (a bank, IIRC) used it in their promotions. But it's certainly not one I wanted to see in real life.I lived in Indianapolis in the mid-late 00's, and a bank definitely used that logo. My buddy is a huge Colts fan, and his debit card/checks had that logo. It was also used on TV, as well as in signage around town. Also, as an aside, I knew a girl who worked in the Colts team store at the Circle Center Mall around that same time, and she told me that the Colts were seriously considering adding silver to their on-field uniforms. Black had also been tossed around, but she said that Irsay hated black on uniforms and vetoed it every time it came up. Not sure what sort of inside knowledge she had, if any, but most of the people working at that store seemed to be pretty knowledgable about more than I would've guessed for just being team store employees. Gothamite
The Colts did add silver, albeit briefly and 20 years earlier: Quote The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
Cosmic
The Buffalo Bills were gonna slap a secondary logo on their ugly ass jerseys they unveiled in 2002, making them an even bigger train wreck of color.I definitely think this logo and even that God-awful jersey is salvageable.Forgive me if I have already posted this in this thread, but I actually had that hat. I found it in a local supermarket years and years ago. Unfortunately, the hat is lost into the aether now. I really like that logo, and it has to be relatively rare to have merchandise made from a proposed logo.
Crabcake
I always found it interesting that Jacksonville was originally going to incorporate silver and the leaping jaguar logo. I was told they couldn't use it due to confusion with the car company Jaguar's logo.Wow those are bad. What's with that full body jaguar stretching across the shoulders like that? And those plain, generic block numbers. The Jags' inaugural unis were loads better than these.
Lights Out
Apparently the Mets considered going with orange BP jerseys in 1982:http://m.ebay.com/itm/321771004239They ended up wearing a blue version of the same design that year instead. Quillz
I think that particular iteration of the "NY" monogram is my favorite. I wish the Mets would use it more.
29texan
I don't see the Yankees uniform you are referring to, but my pick would have to be this:I actually like these to be honest. The Stars could make a modernized version of that with their logo/colors as their third. buckeye
With the news of Glendale possibly ending the lease with the Coyotes and the arena, and the Coyotes set to show off new uni's at the draft, could we possibly see an instance similar to when the Nordiques updated their look, only to move to Colorado? I don't think Colorado could support a second team.Seriously though, no. The Coyotes are going to milk Glendale for all they can. They feel that they had a binding contract with the city (binding on the city's end, anyway), and are going to put up a huge legal battle if Glendale tries to stop payments. They wouldn't cut and run so quickly here. Besides, the arenas in Quebec and Las Vegas are not yet ready.

TheOldRoman
If the contract was voided, I honestly think the NHL and the Coyotes would fight like hell to get money out of the city. I think they'd stay in the Jobberdome for one more year of bickering because they'll still get much more money out of the concessions/advertising contracts they control than playing elsewhere. Also, I don't think they'd go back to the Suns' arena because that would be admitting it was over in Glendale, which would mean it was only a matter of time before the team moved. Attendance for that season in Phoenix would be in the triple digits most nights.

youcan'tseeme
Not sure how to post it via mobile but there is a sideways Flames horse head logo on "logoserver.com" . It appears to be a crest I know it was never featured on a jersey but was it used for anything else?
Morgan33
Here it is... My guess is it was done by a third party, likely Zephyr. They took lots of NHL logos and made them more animated for use on Baseball caps. Might be an unpopular opinion but I think this would make great shoulder patch. raysox
So after 2003-04, Wimbledon FC moved from London to Milton-Keynes. It's super controversial and MK Dons are still hated today. But Wimbledon used the coat of arms from the burrough.I was on their wikipedia page and I saw a logo I haven't seen before."After the club's relocation to Milton Keynes was confirmed in May 2002, the College of Armsinformed the club in August 2002 that its continued use of the Borough arms was "unlawful". A replacement, given the go-ahead on 12 April 2003, featured a stylised eagle's head – an element from the Wimbledon arms – drawn in navy blue and yellow outline, the yellow forming a rendering of the letters "MK" (for Milton Keynes).[27] Despite being officially adopted in April 2003, the logo's use was inconsistent: the club officially announced that it would be used "on all club kit, merchandise and literature from the start of [the 2003–04] season",[27] including on a new white away kit and on an amended version of the previous season's home outfit,[28] but both the home and away colours from 2002–03 were retained for the following year with the municipal arms still present. Moreover, the old crest re-appeared on official club statements towards the end of the 2003–04 season, making the status of the new badge somewhat ambiguous.[29][30]"I was gonna bump this thread a month ago with this same post, but since it's here I might as well show that. For reference, here is the MK Dons logo and the current AFC Wimbledon logo Quote @MichaelDanger19 | Dribbble
