Nike NFL "Color Rush" uniforms?

My two opinions on yesterday Jets-Bills game last night.

Jets look terrific in the kelly green unis. I think they should go back to those colors, as long as they don't make it a habit of going monochrome most of the time.

As far as the Bills is concerned, Arrrrgggghhh!! Red looks atrocious and should be ashamed for themselves for even considering wearing them. Burn them, rip them apart, give it away to a third world country, anything. I just don't like the red color on Buffalo period. That isn't like them, why they even agreed to do it is beyond my belief.

I think the Jags shade of gold is pretty cool and UNIQUE. Which is what this Thursday Night Color Rush is supposed to be about. Something you don't see for the other 19 games of the season.

Some of you really do need to settle down because your nerd-dom is really showing.

I seriously doubt the fact that we're uniform nerds is a galloping shock to...well...anyone.

"Dilutes the brand"??? How? By having another color (that's probably a part of the color scheme to begin with) using the exact same uniform template and basically the same helmet? Most of these "new" jerseys and looks will be exactly like this.

Some of you will never like it because A. its different. B. its monochrome. C. the socks are the same color as the uniform and D. all of the above.

The first thing that comes to mind is that the Jaguars are going to die of "epidermal suffocation."

I think of Titans vs. Rams every time I see this image. Just doesn't look like an alt for the Jaguars. Looks more like the Rams' old gold that had been muted into khaki before shelved.

And the Rams' victory in Super Bowl XXXIV is STILL one of the best championships in recent history. This image is pretty well cemented in just about every NFL fan's mind, even though the Rams hadn't yet migrated to the Navy-Gold scheme.

The Raiders play the Chargers Christmas eve. Could there be a surprise Color Rush game of the others are successful? All black vs all Light Blue? Yellow?

Nike can't put out green Eagles jerseys in time for a new season so what makes you think they will put out new pants in less than 3-4 weeks?

That Bucs uni is better than their regular. The top i mean, not the whole monotone set, even though it is decent as well.

Another reason why color on color matchups are bad.

The clash jersey system evolved out of black and white TVs and has never failed us. Color on color sometimes fails us (last night for example).

I don't expect light blue versus gold to be contrasting enough to look good.

Well. With the Jets I think that they looked better in Kelly gree. Not sure how I feel about the metallic or whatever decals. With the Bills I like all of the elements just not all together in monochrome.

I would think the same thing. It's going to look really strange to have the only silver on the uniform be the helmet color. Wish they had opted for monochrome silver-green just to ruffle everyone's feathers. I take that back, I wish Color Rush wasn't even a thing, but here we are.

Or that the NFL knows that short of putting the players out there in pink bunny and gimp costumes, people will watch regardless.

I actually preferred those Jets' unis to their normal.

Ditto. The whole thing, top to bottom. I loved the return to the Namath uniforms in 1998, but now they just look old. The kelly green made such a difference, that I'd prefer the Color Rush at their new set even if it required a Seahawks-esque monochrome home uniform.
