Did you miss the “with any sincerity” part?

You cherrypick like a politician 😂

Or you’re just not that smart. But I know you are, so, come on now.

I’m just happy that there might be new blood in the mix. At the very least, I doubt the Warriors’ run will continue that far beyond this season. All of these extra games are adding up, not to mention the losses that will happen during the off-season. Seeing them turn into a middle-of-the-playoff-pack team (as opposed to the outright garbage they were for so long) wouldn’t be too bad.

I was hoping against hope that the Raptors could get out of Oakland with one. They got it. Now worst case is they leave Oakland tied 2-2 with two of the next three games in Toronto. Not bad.

Toronto really needed game 2. I'd rather be up 2-1 than down 1-2, but they're a bad quarter away from being up 3-0.

They're doing it against a team playing without KD and Klay, but they're still doing it against a team with Steph, Draymond, Boogie, and a bench that's well coached and generally plays really smart.

A healthy Golden State can clearly win three out of four. But Toronto is just as capable of going .500 the rest of the way. That's all they need, and they have two more home games.

I love the irony of Warriors fans whining about injuries. 😄

Considering how stacked the Warriors are (and 2015) I have absolutely 0 sympathy for them.

Yeah, even with the injury bug hitting hard, they only have a handful of top stars left. 😁

At this point, I can't even count injuries as a legitimate excuse.

Ok, let’s maybe just try to be a bit objective here. KD is out, Klay is out, Cousins is playing hobbled, Iggy is playing hurt, and they have a pretty weak and rather shallow bench. Is it really “whining” to point out how that may possibly hamper them a bit? I’m not trying to go 2015 “Cavs would’ve obviously won!” levels of crazy with it (again, you play what’s in front of you, but they still lost in six), but it definitely changes the plan just a little bit. And to be fair, I’ve always tried to recognize how the Cavs injuries in 2015 and CP3 last year changed that series (I felt fortunate, if anything. Kawhi in 2017 felt like a bit of a stretch, because they lost in four, but ok whatever, if you really wanna hang your hat on that go for it). But damn, y’all. Some of you are just SO over the top with it 😂

If anything, it’s turned me into a bit of a Patriots sympathizer and made me realize just how absolutely ridiculous I’ve looked for stretching to hate them as hard as I have over the years.

And ultimately, pile on. I embrace it. If anything, it’s SO damn fun. It’s not going to change my enjoyment of these past few years, and if anything, adds to it. If Toronto wins the series, good for them. They fought hard and will deserve it despite the injuries. And if KD and Klay leave, I’ll have nothing but gratitude for all the fun I’ve had over this past run with them.

Go go ahead and hate on the Warriors and their fans all you want. It strikes you so much more than it does people who enjoy Golden State. Just like the Pats, they really don’t care 😂

No hate here. I just love seeing a team I cheer for have a legitimate shot at a championship.

I’m madder than I’ve ever been at Kawhi right now. We could’ve won 2017. Yes I’m still fed up about it. And as much as I hate the Warriors I hope they kick Toronto’s ass these next few games with KD and Klay back

I don't know if the 2017 Spurs would have beaten the Warriors with a healthy Kawhi, but I do know they wouldn't have been swept.

The real shame is that the 69-win 2016 Spurs couldn't get past the Clippers in the first round of those playoffs. That team was amazing and under-the-radar all season long because of what the Warriors were doing. A WCF between those two would have been great (and, assuming they would have beaten OKC to get there, could have provided KD some cover before joining Golden State).

And, as a bonus, Zaza wasn't on the 2016 Warriors.

We didn’t lose to the Clips in 2016, that was 2015 on a Chris Paul buzzer beater, that still hurts to watch.

2016 we got out bested by a younger OKC team that would go on and blow a 3-1 lead to the Warriors. That series is a big reason why I hate the thunder. It was frustrating as hell to watch them make lunch meat out of Timmy

Ah -- you're right! My memory is way off.

Also, those Spurs won 67 games; not 69.

Honestly I think our home record was more impressive, 40 home wins. Most in NBA history.

Btw we totally could’ve made a 7 game series with Kawhi, we were up 20 at oracle when he was playing

(sorry I had to)

I was satisfied with just 2015. They don't have to impress me anymore. The long-suffering team got to the top and that's all I really wanted. I didn't have to make jokes about the team being the cocaine epicenter of the 1980s NBA, Chris Washburn (who is doing much better now, good for him), Latrell Sprewell assulting PJ Carlesimo and his teammates, or "We Believe" being the franchise's post-ABA merger peak.
