I've been wanting the powder blue and consistent bolt treatment for 30 years. This does it perfectly.

Still needs to get rid of the Agency font, though. And chances are the new number font will be similar to the new logo type (and similar to Mizzou’s number font), in which case I think they should go without the helmet numbers and keep the yellow mask. I love the retro helmet numbers and gray mask, but neither of those things look quite right paired with a more modern number font.

It's a tough color to get right across mediums. I thought the 2009 Oilers throwbacks were great, but even here you can tell the shades of blue aren't exactly the same.

That being said, the Chargers should NEVER wear a powder blue helmet. Stick to white. Powder blue requires extra attention to color balance, due to how light it can be in contrast to dark colors, but how heavy it can be on its own or paired with a color like yellow. That's why the Royals' and Rangers' powder blue caps don't look great. The color balance is thrown off. In those cases, solid blue caps work better. Likewise, the Chargers need a white helmet to balance the colors properly.

This photo leads me to another thought, which is that that number font would have been great for the Chargers -- nice callback to the number-on-helmet era. As it is, though, it wouldn't go with the rest of the new logo package.

Also it's kind of weird to me that both the LA teams will share a stadium as well as a round over the top primary/helmet logo as well as a yellow and light-to-mid-blue color scheme. We need some brand distinction here.

Rams need to go gold dominant with Chargers being powder dominant.

I’d like to see the Rams in their classic blue and gold helmets paired with a gold jersey with royal blue numbers. Maybe add classic style Northwestern stripes in blue on the sleeves. Do that all over white pants, and it’d Look so damn good.

Does anyone have an example of what I’m talking about? I have yet to see that combination for the Rams anywhere.

I've seen that painting of the gold jerseys so many times that I am completely convinced that it never actually existed in real life.

It did. In fact, it even had a blue counterpart that’s virtually never mentioned here.

Funny enough, I've never seen the blue version of these jerseys. I like these, but I feel like the horn on the sleeves is the best way to go.

Oh god I know I'm gonna regret saying that once they come out with gradient sleeve horns.
