Chrome helmets and white gloves need to go the way of the dodo bird.

White gloves are not that bad as chrome helmets. Those should be ditched asap. Overall nicely uniform. Wouldn't be suprise if Kings quietly go back to this logo in near future.

I hope they incorporate the Knights’ colour scheme into the uniforms, instead of sticking with the greyscale/single-colour team logo ones they’ve used the last couple ASGs.

Assuming they keep the divisional format, you could have one division in gold, one in white, one in red, and one in black/grey. There would be enough contrast between any potential matchup.

The Golden Knights just go by “Vegas”…hence the Las comment…

Yeah, but the city is officially "Las Vegas"; "Las" was excluded from the team name because the owners felt "Las Vegas Golden Knights" was a bit of a mouthful.

Besides, it's not like using the location name and not the team's name is without precedent; 1994 used "New York City", 2003 used "South Florida", 2011 used "Raleigh, NC" rather than just "Carolina".

According to the NHL uniforms database's Facebook page, the Devils and Penguins are supposed to unveil a new third jersey for the upcoming season. Was that confirmed somewhere ?

Would possibly explain the Devils adding a grayscale logo to their pants....

I thought that the league required team names to be only 2-3 words between the city name and nickname.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

It happens when the same person owns both teams and the arena.

I also don't see how chevy is "clearly" an inspiration for the logo. Why would a car logo be a source of inspiration?

Does it look similar, yes. but that's it.  They took the existing shield shape, added a rectangle around the word mark, done.

It's really nothing more than that.

I won't be surprised if we see something like this in a year or two:

This wouldn't be a bad direction for them to go.   The cup wins should cement Black, Silver and White as their primary colour scheme but there's no reason to be married to that dated, Reebok template or the Pencil Point logo.
