Morgan33
The Ducks third jersey looks great. I saw someone wearing a replica while at work last week and wondered why I ever thought it was a bad design. The Ducks need to make it the primary ASAP. Gothamite
The Devils, though, are completely consistent when it comes to what colours are swapped between sweaters. The Blackhawks have two different striping patterns between their sweaters. Which isn't a bad thing. Despite that they still look like they belong to the same uniform set, which is all that really matters. It's kind of a holdover from an era when making sure each individual sweater looked its best was the goal, rather then obsessing over complete consistency. The Packers had the same kind of thing going on in the 60s. The striping pattern from the green jerseys wasn't carried over and inverted for the white jerseys because the powers that be decided it didn't look as good on the whites as a simpler design did. My unpopular opinion is that the Packers' roads look awful and they need to bring these back tomorrow. Quote The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. knnhrvy16
Can't remember if I've mentioned this before, but here goes...I loved this Pistons identity. The uniforms were "90's" enough to fit the era, yet relatively conservative (simple side panels, no gradients, etc.) enough to avoid being overly gaudy. The colors went great together, the logo was the best in team history, and the number font was fitting and well designed. I really don't think it was as bad an identity as it's made out to be - there were far, far worse identities in sports during that era. Also, that particular Spurs/Pistons matchup looks incredible. I guess while I've mentioned the Spurs, I should add that I loved thier "Southwestern" colors and never minded that the uniforms didn't feature them. Thier usage of them in the logos, court, and stadium decor was unique and made for a great, festive identity that truly fit San Antonio. Thier moving away from the colors and decor really dulled thier identity. Quote The opinions I express are mine, and mine only. If I am to express them, it is not to say you or anyone else is wrong, and certainly not to say that I am right.

The_Admiral
Red, black, and white are a striking color combination. Ask the White Stripes! Also, the pattern of alternating colors--black helmet, red sweater, black shorts, red socks--is pleasing to the eye, whereas teams in head-to-toe color can sometimes look like big blobs, especially in navy blue or black. In addition to that, you have the alternating black and white stripes. The additional colors on the Indian Head (copper, yellow, green, blue) also make it jump off the sweater in ways that logos restricted to sweater colors maybe don't. The numbers are white on red or black on white, very easy to read. All this chromatic contrast on the main two uniforms is why their thirds were so terrible: too much black, tan instead of white, couldn't read the numbers, the logo was inferior, etc, etc. Quote ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

This is by far the best the Packers have looked in the past decade. My dream Packers set is this, the equivalent home version......and this as an alt (see top left):Thank you for scanning that, BTW! Kramerica Industries
The monochrome navy look the Patriots occasionally pulled out early last decade wasn't that bad. They broke it up with silver helmets and white socks, so it flowed better.I think the Bears also did mono-navy a couple times, though the Bears not wearing blue/white at home doesn't seem right at all. 4_tattoos
The Seattle Seahawks "classic" logo, colors, and uniforms were lame. IMO dropping silver from those uniforms would have been an improvement. The logo definetly needed the upgrade back in 2002. I personally like the Seahawks current look, and think it would be unfortunate for it go away.To be fair my, part of my problem with the Seahawks old looks has to do with me being a Redskins fan. My hatred for the Dallas Cowboys has made me dislike the combo of blue and silver all together no matter what team is wearing it. Adding green as an accent color didn't matter to me, Seattle already had the evil combo of blue and silver lol. Fox
The monochrome navy look the Patriots occasionally pulled out early last decade wasn't that bad.Never remember seeing it in a game, but pictures of it don't look too bad. While I'd ultimitely like to see the Pats come out with an overhaul of their uniforms, in the short term I wish they'd get creative by bringing back the old silver alternates, occasionally wearing the silver pants on the road, and occasionally wearing the blue pants at home. Also, an UNPOPULAR OPINION:One look that's really started to grow on me in football is colored helmet with monochrome white, EXCEPT for the Chiefs. That will never look good for them IMO. Yeah, gridironuniforms.com says they wore that combo only in 2002. I don't even know how many games were played in it.I never liked the dishwater alts, and I don't know if silver-white-silver would look good for the Pats. I'd have to see it in action. FlyersHockey1967
Not sure if it's unpopular, but I love the off-color nameplates on the Flyers jerseys. And I'll give the Sabres a pass too. But if any other team does it, I'll cry.I love the white nameplates on the orange jerseys because it is (or was, until the Sabres starting using it) a unique uniform touch that has historical significance and precedence. The fact that it was done for nationally televised games in the early 70s adds to its uniqueness and "character," for lack of a better term. However, that last part is also why I dislike the black nameplates on the white jerseys. I understand what the team was trying to do in matching up with the orange jersey and inverting the colors. But unlike the white nameplates it has no historical significance. And personally, I think it's a bit ugly.
