There's 5 different colors in the Cap logo, and 3 out of the 5 are fighting for dominance. My eye doesn't know what to focus on. It doesn't help that the outlining/shadows or whatever they're going for are not consistent at all. I give it 5 years before they do a total revamp. I once had a car but I crashed it. I can't see what color piping is on Hanley Ramirez's pants, but I'd be willing to bet that it's black. Here's a quick take in the direction I think could make it work. Not sure how to resolve a character with a rounded bottom but you get the gist.
