It's so frustrating rooting for Dallas. Of course, I want to see them win and play good football, but at the same time I want to see a serious change in culture by seeing Garrett and Linehan get fired.

40-7 was certainly not even in my wildest dreams was I expecting.

There's only one way the culture will change.  Firing them is not it.

Agree to disagree. The Chiefs needed to be knocked down a peg or two.

The Pats need to be knocked down 10-15 pegs.

It's so damn stale and boring seeing the Pats win AGAIN.

They're the  kingpin that seemingly is never going to go away. Like, at what point is Brady going to stop coming through all the time?

I quite frankly hated this game because the Patriots are the most predictable thing in sports- Brady ALWAYS wins.

Rooting for Tom Brady is like rooting for the villain in the movie.

When the Patriots win, America loses.

Sports make a select cluster of people a lot of money while the rest of us get to pay for TV or astronomical ticket and parking prices and chow down on $8 hot dogs with a $12 beer in our $150 jerseys to root for "the home team" and hope "we" get the win today. If folks wanna do that, groovy, heck I dabble in it (otherwise I wouldn't be on this post), humans are creatures who love things like sports and the drama and the "narratives" and the action going on, but it's a stretch to say a country loses when X team wins (unless you're Honduras and El Salvador in 1969). The Patriots could go 0-16 every year for 100 years starting next year and it's not gonna make a difference in the Universe except maybe some people will only make $50,000,000 instead of $100,000,000 because the team sucks real bad when it used to be real good. Numerous people in Browns, inc., made boatloads even as their franchise went 1-31 in two seasons. Dow Jones ain't crashing cause the Pats won tonight, brother.

Maybe you should just stop watching sports if all you get from them is negativity. I have a guy at work who is exactly like you and complains about everything. After awhile everyone started ignoring him Even if his complaints were legitimate. When you get no enjoyment from what you are doing you might just want to quit.

It's not like other teams aren't trying. KC didn't go out there expecting to let the Pats score on a late game drive to win it all.

Also the Eagles beat them in the G-ddamn Super Bowl. What do you WANT, exactly?

First off, what do you want? For Brady to just not try and win? Come on now.

Secondly? I gave up on the Tom Brady hate train a long time ago because I realized it was pointless. Not in a "the Pats will win anyway so I might as well bow down" sense, but more in a "I might as well enjoy a generational talent" sense. I realized that if I stripped away the sports-hate? Tom Brady is just this generation's Joe Montana.

Would I have hated Montana and the 49ers if I were alive and watching the NFL back in the 80s? Probably! The fact that I wasn't, however, means that I can have an outsider's perspective looking back. I can look back at Montana's career without sports-hate clouding my judgment. I can appreciate Montana's career for what it was.

It was when I realized this that I realized that hating Tom Brady and the Patriots was pointless. Say I was born in 2017, and not 1987. I would grow up being able to appreciate what Brady and the Pats did without that sports-hate getting in the way. So I decided to stop being a curmudgeon. I can just appreciate the best QB of his time and the best team of the past 15+ years do what they do.

Do I still prefer if they lose? Yeah. Do I still root for my Chargers to beat them? Yep. Would I ever get a Brady jersey? Not on your life. I'm just not gonna sit here and be bitter about the fact that I got to watch a generational talent do generational talent things as a fan.

I mean I only caught the tail end of Gretzky and Jordan's respective careers. Why let stupid sports-hate stop me from appreciating Brady's career?

The fact that New England won is a testament to how good they are. I've lost count of how many times people have said they were dead in the water only for the Pats to come back and prove people wrong.

I'm sure that Kansas City will be fine though.

It's my hope that in 15 years when the Bengals hire a new head coach he annihilates the mental bugaboo complex this team has towards the Steelers.

Also, maybe one day a game against the Steelers will be called fairly. Maybe.

@SabresRule7361 doing his best to make you hate anti-Patriots fans as much as you hate Patriots fan.

Nope, I will always hate Pats fans more than any other...though SabersRule7361 paints a pretty poor picture of himself.

I do kind of lean towards IceCap's line of thinking in that we are watching a once-in-a-lifetime talent dominate. From that perspective, it is sort of pointless to heave hate because A.) it is useless and B.) you know damn well you'd be cheering for him if he were on your team. We have never seen dominance like this in the free agency era across any sport (though the Warriors might try to challenge them). The Yankees of the late 90s nor the Red Wings of the 90s and 00s can compare to this near 20 year run for the Pats, and it is absolutely impressive. Sure, there have been competitive teams during this time frame: the Colts with their 7 straight 12 win seasons, the Broncos 4 straight 12 win seasons, hell my team's been dominant since 1972. But it's not the Pats and their sheer power...it's pretty unbelievable to see.

And yet, with all that, I cannot bring myself to see them in the same light as those 80s and 90s 49er teams. I view those squads with respect and as legacy squads, and even though I probably should with the Pats...I just can't. The main reason is due to the fact that they just absolutely own the Steelers, but I cannot get over them flirting with the rules. Yes, I know other teams filmed too, yes I know other teams deflated balls, yes I know Goodell is a hack and had it out for the Pats, and yes, I realize the DeBartlo crew had multiple incidences with the league during the 49ers run...but I really don't care, it just fuels my hate more. Is it irrational? Perhaps, but I can't shake it. When Brady retires I won't have the same reverence I had for Manning and even Favre, I'll say good riddance and wish a lifetime of misery to the Pats and their fans.

I understand fans view the Steelers and their fans (i.e. me) in the same light, and I won't dog them for that. But will never appreciate the Pats, Brady, or Belichick, and nothing will change that.

I don't think there's a QB coming out next year that's able to handle New York either. Will Grier could but he's probably a second or third round pick at best. Tua has another year, hopefully Haskins stays too. Of the current QB's in the league, Teddy Bridgewater is the best possibility but he'll probably resign at New Orleans. Tyrod Taylor could be available but I think Cleveland would want to keep him as a teacher and backup plan.

I disagree with this, in that I think there’s one guy out there that can handle the pressure. I also think this quarterback is being (weirdly) overlooked by a lot of people. That’s Jake Browning out of Washington. If the Giants can snag him (he’s probably a mid first round guy as of this moment, but that could change quickly), that’d Be a HUGE win for them. Him, Barkley, and Diva Beckham could be an absolutely lethal combination.
