^ Looks like it. I personally am indifferent about it. A slight improvement over the old one, but that's about it. What I hate are the ads right beneath it on the new ESPN bottom like. It's distracting.

Regarding the matchup pictured: is the NCAA less strict with lower-level college football about color/color games?

Good lord, these MNF graphics on ESPN are hideous. Way too bright, reads very blurry from a distance, and commands way too much attention.

Whoever designed this didn't get the "flat graphics" memo from like, 8 years ago, did they?

It seriously made me think it was an XFL game.  So bad.

Unrelated, but I couldn't help but notice the yard markers being every five yards there.

LSU does this too, but they're the only FBS team that I know of that does this.

A less ballyhooed debut than that of Lebron in Laker Yellow: tweaks to the NBA on ESPN score bar.

I have so many questions...that midcourt logo appears to be massive, wherever this is they think they are America's Finest City, and the...surfer silhouette on the court? It just looks like an ink blot.

The game was at the ValleyView Casino Center (Aka San Diego Sports Arena) in San Diego

Honestly I'm not sure why ESPN feels the need to keep upgrading their graphics. I don't like this new scoreboard at all, and I think at the very least, they could have kept last year's scoreboard in tact for another year or two. I missed the game because I watched SNF, so I don't want to say too much more about it since there are full-screen stat boards as well; hence, I'll make my call come the regular season when it matters. Also, you never know if there will be any additional changes. Remember how last year's scoreboard was left-justified for two preseason games, then moved to the center?

Did NBCSN drop “Wednesday Night Rivalries”?

Yes it's now Wednesday Night Hockey. And hopefully they'll update their graphics as well later on. The ones they have now that they've used the last three years are nice, but it's time to be refreshed.

Looks like the score graphic heading to commercial is the SNF style, so probably see more come Winter Classic time. Hey, it's a start given how NBC's dragged this out.

Speaking of graphics that's been around forever, geez Sportsnet. Going on 5 years with this package that still looks like they've got nothing but regional games instead of the massive national broadcaster that they've become.
