Just saying. Today's game made me realize NFL teams only wear white socks with stripes on them. Are plain, stripeless white socks banned for some odd traditionalist reason?

Are NFL teams allowed to wear solid white socks without any stripes like Dallas did today for color rush?

I think someone posted the rule right out of the book a few years ago, and it only specified that the bottom x number of inches needed to be white, so theoretically a team could wear solid white even when it's not a color rash game. It just wouldn't look too good.

Did anyone else notice that Cam Newton's shoulder stripe was different than everyone else's?

Same stripes as the backup QBs and some of the other skill positions (RB/WR/DB). Different jersey cuts. This is nothing new.

Honestly, I thought this was actually the worst of the color rush games so far. The Panthers just do NOT look good in all powder when it's paired with a silver helmet. It makes the whole look seem completely unbalanced and yet still kind of washed out. The Cowboys uniforms were great in theory, but the execution of those shoulder stripes and stars is absolutely brutal. They also looked kinda washed out with the white pants.

This was probably the worst choice they could've made in terms of color matchups for the color rush series. The Cowboys and Panthers don't contrast at all when blue is the primary color for Carolina. The light blue against white and the matching silver helmets made this a really boring and somewhat hard to follow matchup.

Panthers were exactly what the NFL wanted with "color rush" IMO. It worked out great. The best two uniform sets so far have been Jets and Panthers. 3-6 would have to be Titans, Bills, Jaguars, and Cowboys respectively. The Cowboys looked great, but the reason I have them ranked last is because their uniforms weren't really a "rush" of color.

I thought the Panthers looked good. I wish they would change the stripes on (all of ) their pants and the helmet to match the shoulder ones. As in solid stripes from waist to knees and front to back of the helmet.

I thought there was plenty of contrast and pretty easy to follow. I thought the Panthers looked good, and the Cowboys looked decent. Bigger stars were needed on the shoulders for the Cowboys. My biggest problem for both teams was the socks. Socks really need to be different colors than the pants.

yea thats why i don't like the Panthers uniform, those shoulder stripes are different on nearly every player; there's nothing "uniform" about the uniform. im sure it worked better in '95 but not on these modern templates - the TV numbers on the shoulders push the stripes over the shoulder/sleeve seam, where as the Colts wear their TV numbers on the sleeves and it works more consistently.
