Isn't that annoying? This is a change that's been LONG overdue, and now when they've scaled their roster way down, they finally make that switch. It makes me wonder just what the hell took them so long. I get having the stacked Oklahoma City wordmark at the beginning, because it was the first team that was really truly theirs, but man did that age poorly look wise. pelicanfan
I mean I guess it’s a good change? The only real big change is going from the city name to the team name. I always have unpopular opinions in this thread so call me an idiot but I don’t really see the hype over the change. As for the stripes on the side I can’t really say much. I mean, they basically made the stripe colors asymmetrical and thicker with a different logo placement. I don’t hate it actually it looks nicer but it’s not really something I’d get super excited about my ocd is really telling me that the orange and yellow stripes should be on the other side of the black as well to be symmetrical New NBA court designs by me here
Satomiblood
If the tweaked Thunder jerseys are any indication, I'm hoping that Nike applies a universal fix to one of the glaring flaws of its jersey cut: side panels that awkwardly overlap the shoulder trim. I know the Sixers and Spurs have also been affected by this.

DG_ThenNowForever
Just noting that it's been more than a decade and OKC still doesn't have a proper team logo. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
M4One
It's a nice change for the Thunder, but with Westbrook gone, it's the perfect time to do a full rebrand. You know, come up with an actual logo. It was understandably at the time with the short time frame from when they moved, but I'm amazed at how they never got around to changing it up. kolob
I can't recall the source ... but, I believe the white jerseys will have the Oklahoma City wordmark? Any confirmation of that? Jack Holmes
Burn it down and start from scratch. If they can do it their roster, they can do it to their uniforms and logos.
joekono
They can start by going back to Seattle and have those green and yellow beauties again.

IIRC they only intended the original logo to serve as a placeholder, but then the team got really good. And they didn't want to mess with the brand of an upward trending team. Any confirmation of that? Yeah i believe OKC and Orlando are doing some type of wordmark swap or something. Whatever was the icon is now the association. Either one is changing color and another team is changing wordmark but basically the same uniform. Im confused and i typed it.

I agree. I've hated them from day one (Sonic fan). And their look only reminds me of the guys who stole our team. But now that's it's been over 10 years, if they completely rebranded, it may be easier to see or hear about them. Design Hovie Studios

Any confirmation of that? I guess why not. I absolutely love HOME=mascot name and AWAY=city. But with the way NBA jerseys have been, teams are pretty much wearing white on the road as it is. I wish every team set had had their basic color changes, along with wordmark changes. Each white jersey having two wordmarks, each black with two, and each red with two. From there, they could maybe enforce the home team to always use mascot name. But that may be overthinking it.
Ark
Actually, I think these are pretty good. This is pretty much the best they can get out of this identity.

The NBA should just ditch this flexible ruling and make it like the NHL where color is at home for good, none of this half way crap.
