The red helmets will be worn with red jerseys and white pants

Sort of reminds me of the Memphis Express helmet...which is a good thing, and it's maybe in the Jets/Rams Flash finish. Glad to hear it will be worn with white pants.

I'm very much so in the camp of "the only alternate helmets should be throwbacks," but I really do like what the Texans have done here (much to the contrast of the Saints botching up what should've just been a color swap). These could work well with the color rush jerseys, too

I still think they should’ve gone with a white helmet to keep the Oilers/Original Texans throwback possibilities alive, but damn does that red lid look nice.

The Saints helmets are easily the worst out of all the new alternates so far. It's a jumbled mess that has a design element ripped off another NFL team and is completely disjointed from the uniform it is going to be paired with. I'd assume that the Saints and Commanders are probably the worst case scenarios under the new helmet rule. Since every other helmet has been either a throwback or color swap, which is how it should be.

Depends on an individual's definition of a bad helmet. I have no problem and even like color swaps. While most will be unnecessary, I'm even okay with a black helmet as long as it's a color in their branding.

 

The design just needs to make sense. The Saints helmet doesn't fit their branding or alternate uniform. It would be like the Chiefs having a white helmet with curved stripes on it like the Panthers, Titans having traditional stripes on a light blue helmet or  the Jaguars doing something out of left field like spots.

Hey now, Seahawks throwbacks should arrive soon! Although not this year for some probably supply chain related reason.

 

But the Texans red is totally so they can do Color Rush even though that jumped the shark 3 years ago. Nike is so dumb. A white Texans helmet would look absolutely beautiful.

The 49ers should have a Notre Dame style gold helmet. Kinda like a saxaphone or something. I mean what they have now is fine but I think leaning into the Gold Rush aspect would be cool.

Not with tan pants.  If they're able to bring back shiny-gold pants, or figure out how to do something even more outlandish, I"d be on board with that helmet for the 9ers.

IDK, when I think of the 49ers I think of a gold that is muted, almost beige. May not be the most popular color/finish in a vacuum, but it looks like them in their glory days the most. Plus, as a team that also wore silver helmets, I always kind of liked how their gold was a half step from that as opposed to a more brassy finish. 

 

In fact, I've seen it posted here before, but the Saints and 49ers in their current state just need to swap helmet shells. New Orleans needs to be a brassy gold, 49ers a more muted gold.
