Digby
The Irish rainbow thing is one of the most overrated looks on this board. Multi-tone effects don’t look great with green, and that serif wordmark they used at the time is awful. It was all very of its time. I’m in no hurry to bring it back. i agree with some of the criticisms of the current look — too many disparate colors, white/cream weird tincture issues, fascist robocop deer — but on the whole, I think dark green and cream plus a minimalist aesthetic is a good and distinctive look for them. But the Bucks are green cream and light blue, they're forest green and red. Outside of the colors the uniforms aren't bad at all, but they've had a collection of some of the worst Nike alternates. I don't the bucks have had a good alternate since they've rebranded, it's really diluted the brand. But you can say that with every team since Nike took over The alternates are terrible to be sure. A lot of these problems could be mitigated with a good ol' fashioned wordmark. But again, I want to emphasize this point. Even if the Bucks were to come up with a new classic look for their uniforms that eliminated the black and white and got a new sponsor that somehow matched... Who's the team in pro or college sports that makes cream/tan/light brown/french vanilla work? I like the SF Giants fine, maybe a few teams? Now who's the team that makes green and blue work? Several Seattle teams make a go of it to middling results. Even if you have the best possible design (some of those concepts posted were really dope btw) white is just better. The contrast of white to green looks great on TV and in person. Pairing cream with blue and green is setting your brand behind the 8ball before you get to Psycho Bango and all the black alts and all the Cream City nonsense. We're not a minor league baseball franchise, we're a team that won a title with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The preferable solution in my opinion is multi colored green and this for a patch:
Berlin Wall
The Bucks had three looks I love. The Robertson uniforms are one of my favourite old school basketball looks. The irish rainbow is my favourite for the Bucks, too. I don't know how anybody can call these overrated. They are beautiful. I'm sure they will go back to double green at some point. The third look I love is the purple Laker-Bucks. It does not look like a Bucks uniform at all, but in a vacuum I have to admit, that it looks great. Beautiful colour combination. I really enjoyed that era. I'm a simple person, I have a pixelated David Beckham as profile photo since 2010.

Our visual look isn't tied to any of the eras of greatness, very goodness or flash in the pan-ness. We look stupid. There is no visual through-line tying Kareem to Marques to Sidney to Ray to Giannis. That's point number one. Point number two is these colors don't remotely work, especially with an orange Harley patch. There are simply far too many colors. The Bucks should be a green and white team with a spash of red, but put that aside. There are only 2.5 green teams in the NBA. The Celtics, the Bucks and not really the Wolves or Mavericks. It's not too much to ask that the Milwaukee Bucks who have been around since 1968 have a well defined visual corner. The Wizards had a nice little navy and cream thing going for a while. I found it attractive. It was abandoned because as attractive as the pairing was, they didn't look like the Bullets, and that was with far less colors and no sponsor patch. The Nets decided to wear grey all the time for a while. It seemed like a decent and creative look. It was abandoned because it was just a fad at the end of the day. The Bucks wore purple and green for more than a decade. A lot of fans really liked it. It was abandoned as soon as purple fell out of vogue. At a certain point you have to decide what your team colors are. The terrible shiny jerseys that the Bucks wore in the early aughts were the problem, not the colors. That concept is really cool, man. Scrumptious Ham
No need to worry about the logistics. This isn't a high school tournament. It's the NBA and Disney. None of the concerns in this thread are valid ones. They have the resources and then some.
UnclearInitial
At least this could be a good time to bring back the Playoffs logo on the court since it wouldn’t need to be stickers applied on an existing one. And I wouldn’t mind the giant Larry O’Brien trophy coming back at half court this year in the Finals

To me, this is honestly one of the most intriguing parts of sports returning after this whole covid thing. The whole setup is going to be unlike anything we’ve ever seen before, and if this calms down the way we hope it does, it probably (hopefully) is never going to happen again. I’m very excited because we’re going to have the familiarity of sports return, yet we get basically all new surroundings for it. It’s going to bring so many different levels of unique nuance to something that’s usually strictly routine. It’s like the last NHL strike. We got hockey back, but it was unusual because we had teams playing basically playing every other day. I found myself a lot more interested in hockey (which is probably my least favorite sport), because it was familiar, yet still had an aspect of it that was sort of refreshing. That whole thing is a drop in the bucket in comparison to this situation. That’s REALLY exciting. The_Admiral
Why don't they just do the court art digitally like backstop ads and fake NASCAR billboards? Won't bother fans at the games, there aren't any. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

The question has been how many games can't be played each day because of court swapping. Arena scheduling leaves a crew about four hours or so to change the event floor from basketball to hockey on a two event day, so maybe it takes two hours to just change a floor, that leaves an arena only hosting at best three games a day if first tip is 11am? I don't think it was flippant when he mentioned the NBA and Disney over the top logistics are their jam. They have the resources to do it. They could easily do it. But, honestly, as a fan I don't think it's necessary. It'd be nice, but if they were to do it I'd only do it for the Finals or Conference Finals. M4One
If all courts are the same, then maybe have a generic court, but change out the ends so at least they show what teams are playing. Otherwise, seems like a whole lot of work for no reason.
pepis21
They should use one generic court for all teams to play more games at one day. The quicker this season ends the more time they will have to think about new one.

OaklandIsBack
What about just swapping the center court logo for the designated home team? Keep one floor with something generic along the baselines (arena name maybe?)

Scrumptious Ham
I did a little research. The Wide World of Sports complex can have up to 20 courts laid at a time. The NBA has plans do play multiple games at a time. With the court space to have every one else practicing on their own courts while the other games are being played. So, yes, my original statement stands. Questioning those logistics were pretty silly. Two multi billion dollar corporations won't overlook things like that. Yall really thought everything was going to be done on one court?
