If they brought back this one or the American Association one that @Gothamite posted, I'd be ecstatic. I do like the the number font at the spring training facility though. As I alluded to before, I think the numbers have more staying power than the scripts. They're traditional, yet recognizable from across the street like the Red Sox, but not lazy and sloppily excecuted like the Brewers current numbers. I'd agree that the numbers are worth incorporating into an updated Brewers identity. I think they'd go with the Yount script (they'd have to be paired with that - they wouldn't go at all with the current Brewers script or the plain sans serif wordmark).

If we’re bringing back an old script, there’s a much better one just a little farther back in history. I can't go along with that. This script is very clumsily realised. All the letters look to be different heights; and the W and the S in particular are terribly malformed. To me this mark is far inferior to the 1990s script (and not because the 1990s script is so great).
Digby 6,105 Posted August 15, 2019 I'm on Team Spring Facility Beer Barrel font here. The scripts are nice but also somewhat generic "classic baseball", which is fine but maybe a little too safe and could fit just about any team. If a team can go for a look that only they can pull off -- provided that it also looks good -- then they should do that.

And I like the 90s droptails.

Sec19Row53 3,715 Posted August 19, 2019 The Brewers 2020 Spring Training Schedule is Navy and Yellow. The regular season magnet schedules on my filing cabinet at work for the last three years are navy and tan. Maybe nothing. Maybe not.
Gothamite 23,653 Posted August 20, 2019 Been saying it all year - that’s the future Brewers logo. Can only hope they update everything else when they make the switch.

We’ll combine that schedule with the Nike changeover and the new ballpark name in 2020, I’d say that might be a good chance we see a change finally.
ryebread19 6 Posted August 20, 2019 If we are reading into that brewers color scheme, should we be looking into the twins using a lighter shade (not quite Carolina but also not royal) of blue on most materials this year?

Not really. Brewers actually wear navy and athletic gold on the field.

Well, not really. The Brewers are also using an awful chunky font for all of their promotional materials. And nobody seriously thinks that’s for anything other than this year’s promotional materials. But if the Twins started using an alternate logo for an increasing number of things where you would expect their primary logo, then that would be something to consider.

Because, their stadium will have a new name in 2020. Also, the new font at their spring training facility are a another example for a possible rebrand. I'd rather see some kind of new script developed, at least for the uniform wordmarks.
BC985 1,353 Posted August 29, 2019 I made my first trip to Miller Park since 2006 yesterday. I was reminded of one of their logos that I really like and hopefully will receive a new version if they rebrand next year.
NicDB 2,933 Posted August 29, 2019 If not, it'd be the first time they didn't have a Wisconsin outline in their identity package. FWIW, I've seen this on a good amount of merch lately, but I'd like to think something better is in the works.

I impulse bought a Brewers cap from Hat Club last year with that logo on it because I like it so much.
Marlins93 968 Posted August 30, 2019 Maybe not the best thread to ask this, but does anyone have a clue as to when all of the Majestic gear will be pulled from the Fanatics-run online stores? Is the Nike deal only for on-field apparel or does Majestic still have a license to sell t-shirts?
Gothamite 23,653 Posted August 30, 2019 I would expect them to try to sell it all, with dwindling stock. Not sure it’ll ever be pulled.
