What a pleasure it is to watch the Giants play the Cardinals again. Such a classic matchup - the heart of the National League vs. its soul. We as baseball fans should be so lucky as to witness another playoff series between these two pillars.

I think I just threw up into my mouth a little...

Yep, definitely some vomit in there.

But do please pray tell which the Giants are, the heart or the soul? Because which ever they are the National League either has no heart or no soul... your choice.

Boston Red Sox name Dave Dombrowski President of Baseball Operations. Ben Cherington will step down.

Great move by the Sox, I just hope they keep Jerry DiPoto as GM after they brought him as special advisor.

Yeah, I had a feeling that Cherington was on his way out the door. I too like bringing in Dombrowski and DiPoto. Looking forward to seeing what they can do.

Okay I obviously hate the Giants and really want to see them lose, but that's pretty damn awesome, id lover to see the Dodgers do that with Greinke.

Jays pinch ran Marcus Stroman a few times last season.

Needless to say if they do that again I'll fight them.

Weird game at Wrigley.

Seriously, are the Tigers basically just a bunch of bats? They have no bullpen, a bad manager, and their pitching has slipped in recent years.

Kinsler basically bailed out Ausmus' decision to not IBB Rizzo.

Shows you who to believe when it comes to these types of reports.

The Red Sox were swearing up and down for the last two weeks they had zero interest in bringing in Dombrowski while rumors were circulating in media that it had a strong likelihood of happening.

The only thing really surprising about this is that it happened mid-season as opposed to the end of the year.

I think its a great move and not just because I think Dombroski is one of top executives in game. People think the Red Sox have a great front office, but how can that be considering the state of their pitching? No quality pitcher has come up through the farm system in recent memory, nobody appears to be on the horizon and for almost every free agent pickup and trade they've made over the past couple of seasons when it comes to pitching, the results have ranged from bad to disastrous.

They may know what they need to get the job done at the plate, but I don't know how anyone can look at that team and think they have a clue with what they are doing when it comes to pitching.

Even if it wasn't Dombroski, they needed a high ranking executive from outside of the organization to come in, because it was clear that Ben Cherington was either unaware of what the problem was, or was part of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, the Red Sox FO's latest scapegoat: Ben Cherington. His huge contract signings were way above his pay-grade - those came directly from John Henry & Co. This may seem like a changing of the guard, but as long as Henry owns the team you'll continue to see bonehead signings. It's a shame, really. For all the good John Henry has done since he took over, he's done just about as much damage.

Chase Utley to the Dodgers for cash and prospects. WTF? Why? Just because they can? It's going to be even more fun watching them crash and burn in the playoffs than it was the last two seasons!

Remember when the Twins were in contention for over half of the year?

Fifth straight 90-loss season.
