Nyjer Morgan, unlike Milton Bradley, doesn't have a pathologically immense persecution complex, nor does he accuse everyone of racism, quit on his team, or generally act like a belligerent toolbox. They're both black, though!

The only difference between the two is at least Bradley looks like he wouldn't necessarily get his @$$ kicked when he crosses the line. Though both are in serious need of one.

Phillies JV team (and Cole Hamels) take game 1 from the Brewers, and are now 4-0 this week vs. the #2 and #3 best NL teams.

Hamels won't get a sniff at the Cy Young this year due to the Kershaw's ridiculous season, and in-team competition from Halladay and Lee, but IMO he's been the rock for them and while every pitcher wins a few that they shouldn't and loses a few that they shouldn't, I think the latter situation applies to him more than most other pitchers, and he should certainly have more Ws right now than he does.

See, this kind of silly fan sh|t talk really gets on my nerves. A few things I know for sure...while his antics are idiotic at worst and questionable at best, Nyjer Morgan does not rival Milton Bradley on the crazy scale, Morgan/T-Plush/Tony Gumbo does not deserve a beatdown for his questionable/idiotic antics, and even if he did, some silly fan sh|t talker will not be the one to do it. So, basically, don't say such stupid stuff. If he wore your beloved team's colors, you'd be saying other silly fan sh|t about his "heart", how he doesn't back down from anyone, provides a spark, something about energy...blah, blah, blah.

Either way, Morgan needs to stop with the multiple personalities and trying to be all gangsta on Twitter. Grown men with alter egos and imaginary friends need counseling.

McCall is a Cardinal and as such he's apart of the classiest family of baseball fans in Major League Baseball. They don't stand for non-classy players who don't play for the Cardinals.

...and the guy with 18 wins in Arizona...

Yeah... I guess he's OK too...

Do we really think that "getting an ass-kicking" would result in either player waking up the next day and thinking "You know, now that I've had my ass kicked, I see the error of my ways. From this day forward I am a changed man."

Also, I like Nyjer Morgan. He's got personality. Or two.

Seems like this has been the year that Brewers fans have really gotten the full St. Louis Cardinals experience. There was some column in the J-S a week or so ago that was basically "good god who are you people."

Kennedy is having a great year and possibly the best ex-Yankee the Diamondbacks could have traded for. Could he win the Cy Young, who knows, it could be Lee, it could be Kershaw, it could be Kennedy.

So do I... but we all know that any athlete who isn't stoic, stiff, boring, and underpaid is immediately fodder for the "diva," "locker room cancer," and "thug" labels.

Starting with the extreme absolutes again?

And in other stunning news, the sun came up this morning.

Congrats to Ryan Vogelsong, there wasn't another Giant out there this year who should've even been considered with the type of year he's had.

My point with comparing Morgan to Milton Bradley and Gary Matthews said the same thing, was that there are players who just don't get that their antics take away from the team and cause more problems than they are worth. We all know Morgan is going to snap again and end up with another team. We've seen it before and we'll see it again, players who just don't get a clue. It's not a black or white thing, it's as Hank Hill pointed out, "An idiot problem." I watched Milton Bradley for a few years with the Dodgers and he was as talented as can be, but a head case. Morgan is the same thing. If you want personalities that weren't head cases, how about Rickey Henderson? Or maybe even Michael Irvan or even Shaq. Off the court they are a little... okay in their own world, but on the court you knew you were getting 100% from them. Morgan supposedly is as talented as they can be, but his head is not always there on the field. It's not that he's breaking baseball etiquette (which I think is a joke anytime anyone uses that phrase), it's just he lacks common sense and he's proven in it time and time again. He does things and instigates things that don't need to be done or instigated.

Exactly. Has nothing to do with me being a Cards fan. He's done this the last few years. Always the instigator. In this case, he threw tobacco at the pitcher for no f-ing reason at all. And this was the least of his incidents. You could see his teammates are starting to get sick of his crap. One of these days, Braun or Fielder or whoever are gonna get plunked because of some bs he did. He's a good player but he's not their best and so a team will probably go after them. If I'm on his team I'm sitting him down and telling to cut the s***. He can be a colorful personality, but he's far beyond that.

And I wonder just which team would play Defenders Of The Faith and try to injure a bystander.

We all would play Defenders Of The Faith and try to injure a bystander.
