If they insist on using chrome I think they should at least have a little more orange on the crest and hem or make the white hem stripe thicker. Otherwise, the hem looks a bit unfinished to me, since the shoulders and arms have thick swatches of white and the hem has just a thin white stripe. This terrible organization can't get it wrong all the time lol.Lou Lamoriello announced that the New Jersey Devils will be wearing the same red and green jerseys from their past for the Stadium Series game on January 26th, against the New York Rangers. I'm assuming the only difference is that it will have the chrome logo on it. Leave it to Lou to stay traditional when it comes to the Devils; part of the reason I love the team. They aren't like the Penguins that need a new freggin jersey for every outdoor game they play in. Something to be said for that.The Devils have worn these on Saint Patrick's Day in 2010, 2011, and 2012. The lockout cancelled it last year due to planning issues but the Devils will be wearing the red and green again this Saint Patrick's Day against the Bruins. I like it, but I'd like it better with no shoulder yoke and an orange hem stripe. I'd say I'd like it better with an orange shoulder yoke but then they'd look like the Oilers. I don't know, it might make the four Cup stripes stand out less.Also hoping this isn't a template for every team, because it works nicely for the Islanders, but I'm not sure it would translate to every team. I don't love them.The white yoke is a white yoke and I'm not a fan of white yokes, but if you make it orange then you're in danger of looking like the Oilers, make it blue and you're not different enough from your regular blue jerseys. So I guess the white yoke has to stay. I like the shape of it though. Way better than the new Dallas, Minnesota, Calgary yokes.The NY would look great on its own if it were just white. The chrome is stupid and only makes it look like a cheesy sticker that you might buy from a gumball machine.I love the pants stripe and how it matches the angle of the sleeve stripes.
