See, and that's the problem with the supposed "dark green." It looks black on the helmet but somewhat green on the pants. Just ditch the color since it looks so damn inconsistent and stick with a proper shade of green that is clearly green and doesn't need specific lighting conditions to look green.

Florida looks great. Just wish they had word these throwbacks against someone else. This looks almost like an intrasquad game.

I'm going to nominate Memphis at ULM for worst looking game of the week. ULM is just the worst. It's bad enough that they haven't updated their football field to switch from old gold to athletic gold, but they have the same bizarre dichotomy utilized on their uniforms. They've got the ULM fauxback logo they've been using on the helmets and the bird head logo (with old gold on it) on the pants. Also, the overabundance of gray on both teams.

Looks like Arizona is going WWR at Colorado. Good. That’s one of only two combinations they should be wearing on the road. 
 

EDIT: Oh man, those white helmets look so good with red facemasks. They should only ever be worn with contrasting facemasks.

As a Badgers fan, I love the look, I wish it would be permanent. There is a lot of red on the helmet from the helmet stripe and the two Motion W's on the sides so there still is a lot of color on the helmet.

This would make a great change/alternate uni for use on the road like football (soccer) teams use.

 

At home, in college football, yikes. Wear your school colors.

So has Ole Miss switched to the powder blue full time? I think they may have worn the navy lid one time this season.

 

The shade of blue is spectacular and is a color they can own. It’s one of those things that shouldn’t work (since it doesn’t match the navy pant stripe) but looks beautiful. I feel like this should be exhibit 1 for why not all uniform elements need to match perfectly with one another.

 

I even loved it with the navy jersey. It’s such a classic look. The blue helmet is distinct enough from the jersey, so it doesn’t come across as if they couldn’t match the color. It’s hard to describe but it just looks right. I usually don’t care about the Uni Swag top 10 of the week but this look takes the cake for me.

 

 

 

 

Don’t even bother with the navy blue lid, Ole Miss. These three looks should be your full time set for all twelve games of the season.

Imagine if they wore their regular uniforms, the only difference would have been the helmets and. Atleast with the set the wore yesterday the striping was totally different along with the completely different shades of blue.

They definitely work, just not with the navy, I’d stick with navy lids for the navy jerseys but powder for the rest

Just four Pac-12 games yesterday, but they were all really nice looking matchups:

UCLA/OSU in particular looked absolutely fantastic. Great clash of colors, and just two really nice uniforms. Washington debuted their new road threads, which aren’t nearly as good as the home set IMO. If the numbers were outlined in gold I think that’d go a long way. Colorado/Arizona was a surprisingly nice looking matchup with the Buffs in their traditional look and the Cats in one of their better possible combos with their current lousy set. Cal/Oregon was nice as well. I’ll have more to say about Oregon’s combo (which i thought looked incredible in action) once I can gather up some more photos later.

Man, the Ducks looked absolutely incredible last night IMO. Not just the best combo of the season so far, but one of the best combos they’ve worn in recent memory. That dark green, as polarizing as it is, looks fantastic paired with the bright yellow and the yellow/dark green/yellow combo had tremendous contrast and balance and really popped under the lights. The only combo in this set that can top it is the traditional yellow/apple green/yellow combo, which we’ll hopefully get to see later in the year (preferably in the Civil War). Here’s what that combo looks like with this new set, courtesy of one of the Ducks’ recruits:

I didn't know this. That's pretty cool. I'm a sucker for space themed (Specifically Apollo themed) stuff, though. 

 

Weird how much Ohio and Indiana, of all states, have contributed to our space program.
