So...are you an SF fan again? It's a California sports team that's good!

My whole family are Niners fans (and my girlfriend’s family are Niners season ticket holders), but I’ve always thought they’re about as meh as meh can be (except for when they had Kaepernick, due to his Nevada connection).

I sure as :censored: don’t like the Seahawks, though!

You mean besides watching Patriots, Lakers and Rockets fans melt down over officiating?

Thats fair. None of those are quite as personally satisfying as Seahawks fans, though.

A different type of Seahawks fan take on the Seahawks/Niners game...did that non-call suck? Yes. Does officiating suck? Yes. But the Seahawks looked like crap for just about 3 quarters. That is not on the refs. This team has been frustratingly inconsistent this past month. I think they are definitely more talented than the Eagles and they should win handily, but I'm not too confident.

My biggest gripe now, as it has been for years is that the team with the worse record SHOULD NOT get a home game. This wildcard game should be in Seattle.

I understand the NFLs insistence that a division win should get you a home playoff game... not that I totally agree, and it does give us the occasional garbage division winner hosting much more accomplished team.  I guess they want the divisions to still mean something. But what I'd like to see is that after to initial round, moving forward home field should be based only on record.

Who does?  It's amazing to me the amount of hate the average non-Seattlian NFL fan has for the Seahawks. Most teams have to win a whole lot more than one Super bowl to gain the level of national disdain the Seahawks get. I wonder why that is? For me it's a combination of their gum-chomping d-bag coach, over designed uniforms, and the ridiculous "we are so special 12!" fans. I enjoy watching them lose as much as I do the Steelers, Packers, Patriots, and Cowboys (another story altogether), but it really doesn't make sense. It's almost like they haven't really earned that level of hate, and yet there it is.

I think one theory is that you can't fairly compare teams across divisions because of the division schedule.  For example, team A might finish second in their division with an 15-1 record by going 5-1 against their crappy division (splitting with the champion), while another team could win their division at 13-3, going 3-3 in their divisional games because their division is very strong (assuming each team were to win all their non-divisional games and not play each other).  They're just giving teams the benefit of the doubt and saying "if you win the division, you host any team that doesn't."

Another theory is that week 17 games can be farces, with teams resting players and not trying.  Mathematically there could be a situation where two teams from the same division could have already clinched a playoff spot, but due to records, neither would host a game.  What's the incentive to play hard for the division title?

The 12 thing is ridiculous, but other than that, I love the Seahawks (as much as you can love a team that you only watch once or twice a year and don't really care about.)  I wonder how much of the hate they get is just immature jealousy of a good team, and how much is 'Cowboys hate', where they're hated regardless of how good they are, just because of how much attention they get nationally and how much they're shoved down everyone's throats.

I love their stadium, uniforms, former Legion of Boom, Pete Carroll's arrogance, the neon, the whole deal.  It's the kind of thing that shouldn't be in Seattle, but is.  It's like they're loud and obnoxious, but in reality, inoffensive and actually pretty nice.  Russell Wilson is pretty awesome too... though a bit of a wackadoo.

The patriots are losing next week to the titans, they can’t stop the run, and Henry will run wild on them. Then they got crushed by them last year. They will not beat the titans. I have no expectations and hope this makes Brady retire before the wheels completely fall off next year. I’d rather him retire while still somewhat on top.

Most satisfying - Seattle vs New England rematch, with Lynch getting the ball at the end to win.

Uniform wise, Seattle vs Chiefs.  New vs old, all navy vs white/red.  I despise the Chiefs as long as Andy Reid is in charge, but aesthetically this would work for me.

Most realistic scenario: The Super Bowl LII and 2019 NFC Eastern Division Champion Philadelphia Eagles continue to sustain so many injuries that they solicit fans to play, and I score the winning touchdowns against Seattle, San Francisco, and Green Bay, leading the team into Super Bowl LIV where the Super Bowl LII and 2019 NFC Eastern Division and 2019 NFC Conference Champion Philadelphia Eagles defeat Tom Brady, who in the ultimate form if irony, pukes his guts out on the field like Donovan McNabb did against him all those years ago.

Put that in ink - it's happening.
